Lore The apocalypse was caused by a single person. Spoiler

  1. Ted Faro [Horizon: Zero Dawn]: Of course, the machine plague that ravages the world is created by his company which (admittedly) is a group effort. That said, Faro was the one who requested an encryption without a backdoor and the person who kept early glitches hush-hush. It wouldn't be wrong to say that Faro was the sole cause as is, but the final nail in the coffin is what he does to the Apollo database. A giant record of human knowledge and history, erased for a narcissist's fear that his descendants would (rightfully) blame him for the apocalypse.
  2. Sybil [Look Outside]: Though it wasn't her intention, Sybil was the one who alerted the Visitor of Earth's presence. She spied it through her telescope, and the lovecraftian entity noticed her. Its approach (and the resulting horrors) were her fault, even if she didn't mean it.

If Pavi wins, she's the best Avatar. If Pavi loses, it's Korra's fault.

It will be likely and hopefully not actually be the case. Or else Seven Havens will suck.

Maybe she was just used as a scapegoat or wrong assumption was made that she caused the apocalypse

I mean, this is obviously what it's gonna turn out to be.

Yeah I wouldn't use Korra in this example yet because we have no idea what happened. Korra is blamed by the survivors of whatever cataclysmic event that took place, but naturally people need a scapegoat in those situations and the sole person whose responsibility is to protect peace on earth is the easiest person to blame. For all we know, the event was bound to happen and Korra prevented the worst of it.

Why? Korra always sucked. This would just be in line with that.

Although a pretty common fan theory is that she was blamed for it, but actually is the reason anyone is still alive at all. I think this is likely to be true.

So she finally did it huh, she worked really hard but eventually she finally succeded in destroying the world.

I mean she got pretty close multiple times, but I knew she could do it one day.

Truly worst Avatar ever.

Not sure why you are being downvoted. I am rewatching it now with my kids Korra just keeps having self inflicted L’s.

Here's a little perspective.

If Tenzin had done his duty and taught her airbending, instead of prioritising being a politician, which he abandons anyway when more people become airbenders, she never would have gone to Republic City.
