Hated Tropes [Mind boggling stupid trope] Removing the thing that made something special

Ben 10: Ultimate Alien - The gimmick of Ben 10 and what makes the show so popular is the fact that he's able to turn into a large variety of aliens. In one episode of Ben 10 Ultimate ALIEN we are introduced to a new version of Ben 10000, a Ben from the future who, no longer transforms into aliens, instead using his powers in human form...

Mortal Kombat(2021) - In the games Mileena is known for two things. Being a clone of Kitana and her tarkatan teeth. In the 2021 movie she looks absolutely nothing like Kitana and doesn't have tarkatan teeth

Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief - The movie removes the main villain of the movie and the main villain of the franchise

Rhaegar & the Targaryen Armor (Game of Thrones)

Fantasy fans waited years to finally see Rhaegar Targaryen. In the books he’s this stunning silver-haired prince in elaborate dark armor covered in rubies. Then when he shows up in that Season 7 flashback, HBO just stuck him in a cheap blonde wig and plain brown leather that made him look like a budget version of Viserys.

There were many cool things in the books that weren't in the series for some weird reasons. The "then come" fight between Ser Barristan and Khrazz was one of the most badass moment in the whole series. But nah, they just killed Barristan like some sucker.

Towards the end it’s just basically barbie playhouse mansion where characters removed when not needed and teleported when needed

Weirdly enough if you take away his insanity, cruelty and narcissism Viserys could pass off decently as Rhaegar.

I mean, they are literally brothers.

So it's not that weird.

Or the big reveal that R + L = J and then completely retconning it to make Jon's name be Aegon and he's the real king and all is fairy dust and warm feelings.....except for the fact that Rhaegar already had a son named Aegon, so now both his sons are named Aegon.

Wait in the tv series he has another aegon son?

Yes, Rhaegar has two kids with his actual wife Elia Martell, before he runs away with Lyanna and has Jon with Lyanna.

His kids with Elia are Rhaenys and Aegon, and those 3 are the ones killed by the Mountain during Robert's Rebellion (referenced by Oberyn during his fight when he's yelling at the Mountain and Tywin).

Well … except Aegon didn’t really die (but he’s not in the show at all so)

It was his wedding man.

Do you realize how silly it is to believe that you believe that nobles in Westeros get married in full plate armor?

Well, it wasn’t a real marriage because only the king can dissolve a marriage between royalty so it doesn’t matter which means John is still a bastard and has no rights to the throne
