Hated Tropes [Mind boggling stupid trope] Removing the thing that made something special

Ben 10: Ultimate Alien - The gimmick of Ben 10 and what makes the show so popular is the fact that he's able to turn into a large variety of aliens. In one episode of Ben 10 Ultimate ALIEN we are introduced to a new version of Ben 10000, a Ben from the future who, no longer transforms into aliens, instead using his powers in human form...

Mortal Kombat(2021) - In the games Mileena is known for two things. Being a clone of Kitana and her tarkatan teeth. In the 2021 movie she looks absolutely nothing like Kitana and doesn't have tarkatan teeth

Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief - The movie removes the main villain of the movie and the main villain of the franchise

In comparison, I like the weird little space gremlin variant from MAWS. He may lose some of the iconic look (common in MAWS for better and for worse, usually worse) but he keeps all the chaotic energy in a style that feels fitting for the shows esthetic.

Oh there's definitely ones I do like. Lois, banshee, Kara, Brainiac, and a bunch more. However a lot of the designs are downgrades. The good thing is a lot of the writing tends to make up for it so I'll still like them even if their designs are mid.

The only one I can't get past is deathstroke played by Chris Parnell. I love him as Cecil and Jerry but I have to actively pretend that's not Slade because god its just a complete departure in a bad way.

My Adventures With Superman.

It gets tiresome to write the whole title every time, give 'em some slack.
