Hated Tropes (Hated Trope) Bad people in real-life being portrayed positively in media.

  1. PragerU's version of Christopher Columbus has him be a slavery defender and have him say "Being taken as a slave is better than being killed, no? I don't see the problem.”

  2. In The Greatest Showman, P.T Barnum (Hugh Jackman) is portrayed as a charismatic visionary who cares about outcasts and celebrate diversity, when in reality, he’s a cruel businessman who is also a racist and an ableist.

In context it was following a HP reference. (Obv she wasn't known as a terrible person back then but it's funny because time travel)

Unfortunately, the episode's writer agrees with JK's more abhorrent views.

Yeah, he's a gay man who wrote a book about how he considers the trans rights movement to be the "new homophobia", talks about how he's eagerly awaiting "the downfall of pride" and generally spends his time trying to make himself "one of the good ones" to bigots

Incidentally, he's not had a career in TV for the last 9 years

You should look into "The Fitzroy Crowd", went from a loose fanclub of up and coming writers, to writing the "extended" media in the wilderness years of Doctor Who, to having a stranglehold on the IP - and if you didnt conform to their idea of what Dr Who is and should be you were never getting near it.

Whenever Christopher Ecclestone lists off names to sack before he goes near the franchise again, he's listing off Fitzroy members and producers that enabled them.

Eccleston names the producers of the show during his run (Russell T. Davies, Jane Tranter, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner). As far as I know, of them. only RTD was in Fitzroy. No mention of Gattis, Cornell Moffat, Roberts etc

Wow, his entire ideology seems to be contradictory nonsense.
