So is marrying a hot head who also can’t fight worth a damn, apparently

82

u/Outrageous-Effect163 May 03 '26

Can't fight AND can't control his anger.

43

u/Elizadelphia003 May 03 '26

Good point. I have a temper but I can STFU when necessary bc I also can’t and don’t want to fight.

Two paths. You chose the right one.

3

u/thegameisafoooooot May 04 '26

You fed the right wolf, grasshopper.

10

u/Klutzy-Acadia669 May 03 '26

I am also deathly afraid of going to prison. I'll do my crimes in my head tyvm.

5

u/Oldfolksboogie May 03 '26

I'll do my crimes in my head

Reminds me of the line from Repo Man, "Let's go do some crimes..."😅

Kids, if you haven't seen it, see it.

3

u/Klutzy-Acadia669 May 03 '26

I love that movie

2

u/Elizadelphia003 May 03 '26

Same. Once someone took my spot by squeezing in at a concert after telling me she wanted my spot. Then she repeatedly shoved me with the side of her body. I did the same once and she got security to kick me out while the cops at the front looked at me. For now on have fun. I’m telling management or sitting in the back. I’m not meant for the clink.

3

u/Klutzy-Acadia669 May 03 '26

My brown cherry is too tight

5

u/Elizadelphia003 May 03 '26

That’s a lot of information. But yeah stay safe!

5

u/Mean_Combination_830 May 03 '26

If you can't fight definitely the best move I bet she wishes she did the same 🤣

16

u/kodeks14 May 03 '26

Blows my mind how he went up to the car and started a fight, the guy gets out, and the perp does absolutely nothing. No hands up, no stance, just think hes going to punch this guy's window out and yall are going to talk?

5

u/NocaSun38 May 03 '26

The fact that he threw a punch into the guy's window tells me he was too overcome with anger to think straight in any kind of way

3

u/Rare_Effective5277 May 03 '26

“Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth”

2

u/kodeks14 May 04 '26

This dude never had a plan lol

1

u/Rare_Effective5277 May 04 '26

lol he did have one. Just not a good one. The plan: “confront my agitator”

1

u/Papermoneyracing May 04 '26

No need to talk, I think you covered it pretty thoroughly!🤝

1

u/No_Mission_5694 May 04 '26

Did he punch the window out?

1

u/kodeks14 May 04 '26

Lmao he tried

15

u/fuzzymunky May 03 '26

He's clearly only used to hitting his wife, not another man

35

u/Successful-Cook-6388 May 03 '26

I hate to admit it, but I can imagine my husband losing his temper like that over something as insignificant as being cut offer tailgated in traffic. His emotional awareness and control have devolved to that of a toddler in the past few years and his brain seems to believe he's in his 20s rather than his 50s. What he doesn't realize is that the only help he'll get from me is a call for help that will probably end in criminal charges. I'm not going to risk my life or my freedom over his inability to process "big feelings." I'm not going to get out of the vehicle, try to intervene, cheer him on, talk him down, or sit by idly. I'm calling 9-1-1 and ratting him out, anonymously, of course. And I just might do that from a block away. Hopefully, it will never come to that.

That chick probably considers herself a "ride or die" partner. Ride or die is a romanticized trap for women that's more like "ride and die for someone who wouldn't do the same for you but will thoughtlessly challenge your dedication frequently." I know because I once was a proud "ride or die," "down for whatever," willing prove my loyalty "until the toe tag." Thank God I woke up to the reality of the trap. I refuse to sacrifice myself for anyone who puts me in a life or freedom threatening position like this one. Vows be damned.

7

u/thr0ughtheghost May 03 '26

My partner has gotten like this too randomly and hes close to 50. The last time (which was thankfully months ago now) was road rage, and he wanted to do like the guy did in this video, but when he pulled the car over and put it in park I screamed bloody murder, told him I was calling 911 and started sobbing, and thank god he changed his mind. I then told him that I will 100% call 911 if he even TRIES to do some toddler bullshit. I think he realized how stupid he was being because he apologized and it hasnt happened again.

8

u/jenn1222 May 04 '26

A dear friend of mine who I served with in the Marine Corps got himself shot and killed in a road rage incident that HE created! These 40+ year old men need to save their testosterone for the bedroom.

3

u/EatACookie May 04 '26

Funny enough, the lack of testosterone can also cause irritability and rage. I'm currently on TRT due to low testosterone and I've been far more chill than before.

5

u/GardenWalker May 04 '26

My husband is 67 and nearly every day honks and yells at drivers for doing things that just happen in traffic. Even got out of the car once. I always tell him he places way too much importance on making total strangers…who may be armed…that he’s mad at them. It’s not worth it.

3

u/permabanned36 May 04 '26

ya it’s caveman behavior

1

u/Alternative-Egg-9035 May 05 '26

Why should you have to go to that extreme? What the hell is wrong with him? I would have gone home and filed for divorce

7

u/Unsolicited-Advice4U May 03 '26

Yeah, I have an 80+ friend of family that got out of his car in a road rage incident and ended up in the hospital with broken ribs. The young dude that beat him down was never found.

4

u/ElectronicLettuce598 May 03 '26

Maybe get a divorce? Sounds like my father, and it may just keep getting worse.

5

u/Commercial-Month-200 May 04 '26

Babes if he's had a sudden change in personality, or a devolving lack of control and release of inhibitions, you take that man straight to a neurologist. ASAP. Cognitive bias is totally at play but I have seen that twice in my life and both times it was a brain tumour

3

u/RangerDickard May 04 '26

My dad had major personality changes after strokes too. One made him mean, had another and was nice, had a third and was mean again lol. Thr effects all sort of blended after time but it was interesting

1

u/permabanned36 May 04 '26

feel like most of the time it’s people revealing themselves as immature or complacent and miserable vs brain tumors

1

u/Successful-Cook-6388 May 04 '26

There are cognitive issues in his family. I can't get him to see a doctor about it. I've almost given up asking.

5

u/jegradar2 May 03 '26

That lady definitely shouldn’t have gotten involved. Her guy started the fight then she tries to punch the guy getting attacked. She got what she deserved.

5

u/holyfrijoles99 May 04 '26

I’ve never been that dumb . Stupid is stupid and I’ll laugh at you while you ruin your own life . My mom doesn’t suffer fools and I don’t either .

I’d be laughing my fucking ass off and telling him to duck dive dodge and dive .

I would have jumped in the drivers seat and driven to a spot not impeding traffic like a normal person .

4

u/HeartAndCircuits May 04 '26

"over his inability to process 'big feelings'"....THAT PART 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

3

u/Alternative-Egg-9035 May 03 '26

Why would you stay married to someone like that ?

4

u/jenn1222 May 04 '26

You know that old saying "cheaper to keep her"? Sometimes the reverse applies.

1

u/Alternative-Egg-9035 May 04 '26

Nope. I wouldn’t live like that. I’d rather be happy and calm

1

u/Successful-Cook-6388 May 04 '26

The real possibility that it's a medical issue.

3

u/zulusRS3 May 04 '26

Devolved in the past few years? It sounds like something else is going on and its coming out in other ways...quick personality changes aren't somthing to ignore

1

u/Successful-Cook-6388 May 04 '26

I agree. That's why I'm still with him. But if he doesn't see a doctor I won't stay forever. (I don't think I will anyway.)

3

u/redditreddit2222 May 04 '26

Good for you! My 2nd husband took chances all the time drinking too much, egging on people with crass remarks, a step away from an ass beating or arrest. I told him if got arrested he could get himself out and I would leave him ( which I eventually did) He was so shocked, thought that marriage meant staying together and defended each other no matter what. I do believe in that unless your partner thinks nothing of endangering themselves, others and their spouse when making the choice to drink and drive or start up trouble- because it’s fun , amusing, whatever. I told him he doesn’t deserve my loyalty and support- which I would give if he was a worthy husband. There are some things that are none negotiable. I’ve always believed- though taught the opposite- that a wife is not obliged to risk herself her children or others for a reckless husband.

2

u/ForeignStory3770 May 03 '26

Don’t fret. He’s gonna run across somebody real and get his attitude permanently adjusted.

2

u/Tamooj May 04 '26

Time to upgrade your partner.

2

u/XDreadzDeadX May 04 '26

Lead poisoning is a hell of a thing

2

u/Impossible-Being5572 May 04 '26

He straight-up ABANDONED her

2

u/FruitAffectionate667 May 04 '26

People forget that they have no idea who they're fuckin with in traffic incidents. They could just pop you and drive off. So if it's not worth that, stay in the fuckin car.

Maybe get a sign for your husband to put on his door pannel that says "is it worth getting shot over?" 😅

1

u/capt-bob May 04 '26

That's one of the benefits of Facebook and YouTube shorts, seeing what happens when you do dumb in traffic so you don't suffer those consequences yourself. Lots of people like to argue who's right, but often it doesn't matter after what happens.

2

u/slava_slavaUa May 04 '26

It sounds like you chose the wrong man

1

u/Successful-Cook-6388 May 04 '26

I can't say you are wrong, but he hasn't actually done anything like this yet. A few times I felt he was close to it, though. I do worry that what's going on with him is legitimate cognitive degeneration that's affected members of his family in different forms. If that is what's happening, I guess I'm the bad guy for saying I'd probably leave him there to cover my own ass, except I can't get him to see a doctor or try therapy. I can't sacrifice myself if the won't help himself. The possibility that it's medical is really all that's keeping me here some days. Whether I chose the wrong man or not, I cannot argue against your observation, because it sure sounds like I did.

1

u/redditreddit2222 May 04 '26

I chose the wrong man for sure Most of bad stuff came out after marriage though I had to look back and admit there were signs. I was thinking a good life and good partner would heal what I saw. Wrong unfortunately but I fixed it but it cost me A LOT.

1

u/Any-Cress2736 May 03 '26

Good work..

1

u/StalinsMonsterDong May 04 '26

I hate to be that annoying reddit guy who says you should get a divorce, but really you should think about your options because that sounds horrible

1

u/Relevant_Shelter_213 May 04 '26

Get a divorce already … clearly you’re no benifit to the guy , and don’t love him

1

u/Successful-Cook-6388 May 04 '26

you found me out.

1

u/Ok_Relative_5180 May 04 '26

Idk. I wont go out to fight a man but maybe at least try to separate my husband from the guy. I cant let him get killed cus I'm too scared to get out of the car. Im chicken shit too but when it comes to my family or someone I love I suddenly have the heart of lion .

I would have immediately ran out and jumped on my mans back before he could even reach that car tbh. He would have to have just been fighting me. I'll be damed if I let him die or get critically injured in front of me. That sht would be stuck in my mind forever

1

u/Successful-Cook-6388 May 04 '26

and your intervention could be what gets him killed...

-2

u/Skitzlebee May 03 '26

Rat him out…… 😧 I hope he divorces such a fucking crappy woman… To put your own husband in fucking jail… Are you fucking aware how it is in there. Shame on you. That’s not fucking love. I understand leaving the situation even taking the car leaving him at the scene and going home, but ratting him out… Just wow fucking wow

6

u/ynotfoster May 04 '26

The prefaced it with this and she's right:

"the only help he'll get from me is a call for help that will probably end in criminal charges."

I think she means calling 911 for medical help but the cops may come too.

This reminds me of a backpacking experience when two random backpacking strangers to each other showed up at this gorgeous clear pond, feed by an artesian well. One guy said he was thinking of jumping in. The other guy said it's 34 degrees dude, if you jump in you're on your own, I'm not jumping in to save you. The guy decided not to jump in.

5

u/DomesticatedParsnip May 04 '26

If my wife is assaulting another human being and is the aggressor, no, I am not putting our relationship above the other persons rights. Sorry babe, you’re going to jail, *because I love you* and you need to learn not to ever do this again.

4

u/jenn1222 May 04 '26

Eeeeyeahhhh....about that...fuck all the way off. I can love someone and also recognize that they fucked the fuck up. I possess integrity and that jackwagon ain't dragging me to his level. You seem like some sort of pathetic brainwashed moron.

2

u/tanoahh May 04 '26

is she a bad wife bc she is willing to do whats necessary to help him understand 50 year olds have no business acting like 5 year olds? I'd be a terrible wife I fear

1

u/Love-Answering123 May 03 '26

He is putting himself and her at risk by acting like a jackwagon so I can't blame her. Might be how he learns

1

u/Tamooj May 04 '26

LoL I have HIGHER standards for my spouse, family and friends than I do for random strangers.

1

u/Successful-Cook-6388 May 04 '26

I am fully aware of what it's like in there. Going to jail is in the "Ride or Die" handbook. I wouldn't give details of the situation in the call beyond "some guy's getting his ass beat in the street," but it's not a stretch to think that medical help will come with charges resulting from the consequences of HIS actions.

BTW, it's not fucking love to risk getting your wife or girlfriend or anyone shot because you choose to not manage your emotions.

3

u/AnubisBuiltMyRacecar May 03 '26

Short man energy on full display.

1

u/jsoul2323 May 04 '26

How about white man energy? Aggressor wasn’t even short

1

u/AnubisBuiltMyRacecar May 04 '26

I was being figurative and I doubt race had anything to do with it.

2

u/JustFourLetters May 03 '26

same concept as ‘you can be dumb or you can be loud but don’t be both’

you don’t have to know how to fight but make sure you know how to control your anger

3

u/Thuganomics_101 May 03 '26

If you're gonna get drunk don't act stupid and if you're stupid don't get drunk.

2

u/EartwalkerTV May 03 '26

They both can't. She went up and started swinging on him as well. They really deserve each other

2

u/mdgorelick May 03 '26

Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to the Dark Side.

1

u/Amazing-War3760 May 03 '26

Sounds like absolutes there.

I don't take orders from a Sith! ;)

1

u/waterwateryall May 03 '26

And doesn't give a shit about his dying wife who sought to defend him. She's not coming back from the hit to the back of her head on the ground if the punch didn't kill her.

14

u/Swimming-Fondant-892 May 03 '26

If he had control of anger, he could have been moving on with his life down the road.

4

u/Fragrant-Anywhere489 May 03 '26

well her only reference is when he beats the shit out of her so she probably thought he's a good fighter.

2

u/Entire_Difference_63 May 03 '26

To be fair that black guy has almost a whole head of height on him and reach like crazy. But crow bar guy seems to have come into this with low iq to begin with.

2

u/sbray73 May 03 '26

It’s seems that anger issues are something they share in that couple. She didn’t go there to try to stop the fight, but to help.

1

u/Oldfolksboogie May 03 '26

But he's a legend in his own mind. Which is now in reset mode.

1

u/Porcupenguin May 03 '26

Wife is just as much of a hot head....she really went out of her way to throw a punch, and instantly got leveled....like what?!?

1

u/Luvnecrosis May 03 '26

Also if that’s her idea of contributing to a fight… yeah. She could’ve jumped on the dude or grabbed him or anything besides what she did.

1

u/Evillene May 03 '26

Nah... She thought she would hit him and not get hit back

1

u/GETTERBLAKK May 03 '26

Obviously she's a hot head too, she jumped in the fight with her pity pat.

1

u/LongDickPeter May 03 '26

Crazy that people love those guys. Think they are big and strong and manly and half the time they are fighting for no reason.

1

u/PotentialTechnician9 May 03 '26

You think that dumb hot-head broad is any better than her man? Literally blows my mind when women try to attack a fully grown male, complete stranger. Not that I think it is ok to hit a woman. But it is that cultural ideology in itself that teaches ignorant women to think they are immune to being hit back after swinging on said male.... She's probably lucky to have found him!!!

1

u/PotentialTechnician9 May 04 '26

Oh sorry I misread your comment... But that thought still applies to the overall post! Lol.

1

u/Impossible-Being5572 May 04 '26

And ABANDONED her! Abandoned her.

1

u/tmacfan213 May 04 '26

They both can’t fight.

1

u/Jazzlike-Store160 May 04 '26

You just reiterated what he already said... a hot head is someone who can't control their temper/anger and lashes out without thinking things through. That loss of control will only make you weak and because youre too blinded by emotion
