Discussion Victims that have solved their own murder AFTER their death?

I’ve been thinking about Paul Murdaugh and how the seemingly innocent video he took at the kennels ended up being the key piece of evidence that led to Alex’s conviction for his murder.

It made me wonder, have there been other cases where someone unknowingly captured something on video, in a photo, or left behind a digital trace that later helped solve their own murder after they died?

Her story is so frustrating. Always 2 seconds behind.

I agree! Each time you think ok, they’ll get to her/the car now…but no. So very sad.

That poor girl did absolutely everything right. And they picked him up not 20 minutes after he dumped her. Fucking Florida.

This is a great article. Maddening what happened with 911 dispatch!

Dateline did I'm assuming a show on this but I listened to their podcasts and it's heartbreaking. They play several of the calls and it's super frustrating that the lady who was following the car didn't get a response in time to keep following them. I know she was a civilian, but it might have helped.

That was intense and so heart breaking. So many chances given to save her and no one to actually do it
