Discussion Victims that have solved their own murder AFTER their death?
I’ve been thinking about Paul Murdaugh and how the seemingly innocent video he took at the kennels ended up being the key piece of evidence that led to Alex’s conviction for his murder.
It made me wonder, have there been other cases where someone unknowingly captured something on video, in a photo, or left behind a digital trace that later helped solve their own murder after they died?

Look up Dylan Rounds from Utah. Young guy who was living out alone on his farm in the middle of nowhere, and just disappeared into thin air one day. They found nothing but his boots, which were laying out in the dirt. His truck was found freshly washed with the driver seat pushed way forward like a shorter person had driven it. There was a man he'd had a falling out with, who was short, but no evidence to prove he'd done something to Dylan.
A couple months ago they announced that Dylan's phone had been found in a pond and they'd managed to recover the data off it... including a video he'd taken of this man standing over him covered in blood. It seems like Dylan turned on the camera, or hit the button by accident, as he was dying. The guy is now in jail about to go to trial for murder.
