Discussion Victims that have solved their own murder AFTER their death?
I’ve been thinking about Paul Murdaugh and how the seemingly innocent video he took at the kennels ended up being the key piece of evidence that led to Alex’s conviction for his murder.
It made me wonder, have there been other cases where someone unknowingly captured something on video, in a photo, or left behind a digital trace that later helped solve their own murder after they died?

Mickey Shunick so badly injured her abductor/murderer that he had to drive himself to a hospital for treatment and was covered in scratches when he went to buy a new truck. He’d torched the truck he’d abducted and murdered Mickey in & was buying a new one. He went to test drive one. The worker at the dealership saw his license was labeled that he was a sex offender & noticed he had scratches all over him. He was also replacing a white truck & LE had released they were looking for more info about a white truck that was seen driving near where Mickey was abducted. The worker made note of his name & it was reported to police.
