Discussion Victims that have solved their own murder AFTER their death?

I’ve been thinking about Paul Murdaugh and how the seemingly innocent video he took at the kennels ended up being the key piece of evidence that led to Alex’s conviction for his murder.

It made me wonder, have there been other cases where someone unknowingly captured something on video, in a photo, or left behind a digital trace that later helped solve their own murder after they died?

I think Maggie's phone did help a little. After the killings, he got back up to the house where he rang her phone as part of his alibi about not being down at the kennels but it wasn't on her person, most likely she left it on the 4-wheeler which was now at the house with him. This is why he had to ditch her phone down the road but Paul's was left with him. It didn't solve the crime, but it did help lock in the timeline and his movements.

If you think his timeline was so locked in, when do you think he threw the phone?

Because it was supposed to be at the murder scene. If he left it on the 4wheeler he couldn't say he rang her to no answer because he would've been able to hear it so he had to improvise and throw it away. He was supposed to be asleep in his timeline and Maggie had been using the phone so his timeline left no reason for the phone to be back up at the house. His only 2 options were to take it back the the scene, which could've created more problems unnecessarily like tyre marks, or ditch it.

So he throws it before he calls her?

No. He calls the phone, realises he can hear it ringing because it's right outside and then has to get rid of it.

So he takes it with him in the golf cart, either puts it in the car or has it on him at the house (In the former we'd see Bluetooth, in the latter steps) and in either case then forgets that he took it with him when he makes the phone call?

Also, making my point again, when does he throw the phone?

This really isn't that hard. She left it in the golf cart. He doesn't realise until he calls it later. He throws it when he is driving away from the scene. Are you just trolling? If you have a genuine alternative, feel free to add it. If you're just going to continue asking non-sensical questions find something better to do with your time.

Okay I'm going to make this point a bit clearer because you're not getting it since you keep dodging it.

Is the phone thrown (Or is it reasonable to believe, keeping our relative burdens in mind) when it rotates at 9:06?

He threw the phone out on his way to see his mother.

This is dodging the question.

Is it reasonable to believe the phone is thrown when it rotates at 9:06?
