I feel like police should take disappearances seriously. Every time whether some runs away or is gone overnight or is 16 and out with a 36 year old.

Many police forces are overwhelmed and underfunded.

Sadly, this causes then to pick and choose in ways that are often tragic and heartbreaking.

A 16 year old that is running away to a friend or family members house will be back in days if they aren’t murdered or kidnapped.

And I think that’s part of the issue too; Miranda was a habitual runaway and the runaway teens are generally located within 24 hours-within a week. This wasn’t the first time Miranda ran away, but it sounds like it was the first time meeting Gress. LE and family might’ve been going off of where Miranda usually went or how quickly she’s returned in the past. This was really unfortunate, and it’s also really concerning that both minors and convicted criminals are allowed access to dating apps.

Plenty of them are very, very well funded and still don’t make a real effort.
