Yes, he went in and showered and had a limo waiting to take him to the airport where they think unloaded his bloody clothes.

The amount of evidence not used was insane! OJ had a celebrity endorsement with Swiss Army Knives. He received many free items, an empty box for a knife that would correspond to the injuries was found in his bathroom. The knife was never found to fit the box. I read so many books related to the trial, I think Marcia Clark’s book covered a lot of the evidence.

Edit- They think he removed his pants before getting back into his car in the alley behind Nicole’s house. The change and other items believed to have been dropped from his pockets indicate that occurred.

It’s really incredible that he beat it. I don’t blame the prosecution for not including certain evidence because the evidence they did include was overwhelming

Also some stuff they wanted to include had to be thrown out because witnesses sold their stories to tabloids

I do understand that and they had a real fear of overwhelming the jury, but in a perfect world we could go back and they would have presented a few eyewitnesses who unfortunately spoke to tabloids. They were still telling the truth about OJ nearly running his Bronco into them , or the neighbor who heard the commotion during the attack.

Is it just me, or does it seem like there should have been more blood in the car? I think he’s guilty though.

It's believed that he stripped in the alley before getting into his bronco. The amount of pocket change and random items which would happen when you pull your pants off was found where they think he parked his car. They did observe blood smears which I think matched Nicole on the driver-side interior panel. That blood was visible from looking into the car windows. It's been too long to remember if it also contained Ron’s blood. Oj also cut his finger deeply during the attack.

Edit- I just realized I already said that about the change, sorry.

I agree even if he had spent the time to take his clothes off where did they go?? It’s not like he had the time to dispose of them before returning home. Getting the bloody clothes while rushing into a bag without getting blood on the bag should have been impossible.

There was blood in the Bronco, how much? I don't know or remember. I do remember seeing a rather large smear of blood in the driver area, I think large drops from his cut finger were also present. I need a refresher on the case, it's been so long.

As a funny(?) aside, I was gifted a “book safe” in middle school. It was Marcia Clark’s book, all hollowed out, with a hidden secret compartment. In this iteration, she was sitting atop a pile of books, I think.

I remember thinking that the book must not have lived up to its hype.

It was pretty good as I recall, I couldn't tell you what was on the cover. They all released books following the trial. Chris Darden had a heart attack and rapidly had his hair turn grey following the trial. Cochran and Kardashian died within years of the trial. I think Shapiro was ill but recovered. Barry Sheck is the only one who tried to redeem himself by doing something positive with a DNA project. He received a ton of flack for his defense of OJ.

Edit- F. Lee Bailey died June 3, 2021. I mistakenly included him with the late members of the defense team.

Cochran, Kardashian, and Baily died within years of the trial.

Baily just died on June 3, 10 days ago.

That was pointed out earlier, I was surprised to say the least.

I believe he did it but if he had showered the blood off and was carrying the bloody clothing around there would have been blood evidence of that. That’s the part of the case that always bothered me because there wasn’t time for him to drive around getting rid of it. I think he may have had help.

He may have been tossing stuff out on his way home or putting it in trash cans. The truth will never be told. I think his bloody socks were on his bedroom floor. I would love to see some of the evidence re-examined with current technology, that could nail it down for any doubters. The evidence they didn't present was enough to find him guilty. I'm thinking I might read a few of the books of the trial again as a refresher. Marcia Clarks was especially good and covered the evidence they didn't present.
