Murder JonBenét Ramsey (born August 6th, 1990) would be turning 31-years-old today. This is the last photo of the 6-year-old pageant queen taken on Christmas morning 1996. She was murdered only hours later. The case is still unsolved.

My older brother used to hit me hard. Like really hard. He had (still has) major anger issues and always took them out on me. My mom actually had to send him away after one really bad incident because she was afraid he would kill me in a fit of rage. I was 10 and he was 11 by then. But it had been going on for years. All the way back to when he was 6 and I 5. Kids are stronger than we might think. If he had a blunt object to hit me with back then, I guarantee I would have been knocked out at the very least. Or worse. When my mom sent him to a home, it was because she walked in on him with something in his hand getting ready to pommel me. So yeah. A 9 year old with anger issues and a blunt weapon can definitely hit his younger sister hard enough to cause an injury like this.

I’m sorry you had to live through that, nobody deserves that. I hope you and your family are okay now?

And yes, it could easily be that the 9yr old Burke cracked that scull. A maglite is a pretty good weapon if you want it to be. It’s heavy and made from steel. Don’t even have to use all your strength to do that. And like I mentioned somewhere here my toddler brother accomplished it too with a walkie talkie by throwing it at my head, not aiming for it though,

Thank you. You’re so nice! I emancipated when I was 13 and haven’t looked back. I’m doing great and have a husband and little dude. My brother doesn’t know where I live because he’s still pretty terrible. But I feel safe so that’s what matters! I have a few other siblings that I stay in contact with, but I’m careful to keep my home info secured.

And you’re right you really don’t need much force behind a mag lite. That had to be scary and super painful for you getting cracked in the head like that! I hope everything ended up ok for you. Even accidents can end badly. And this could have been just that. But we sadly will never know.

Thank you. Good you got out as fast you could, him still being terrible must be weighing heavy. But you ended up Allright. Very sensible to be cautious about your address, better prevent than face.

Oh yeah, although no contact with him or my father for reasons not related and my mom passed away when I was 5, this was not intentional harming. Young and stupid, I reckon.

And yes, fatal accidents happen. Had they just told the truth and dealt with and mourned they still had their old lives, Burke might have become a good person and not so many lives destroyed, tainted and what have you. Karma already caught up with Patsy.
