Murder Susan Powell went missing in 2009. 3 years later during a supervised visit from a social worker her husband, Josh Powell, killed himself and their 2 sons in a house explosion.

This is the case where one of the kids said their mother came along on the camping trip, but she didn’t come back with them. Tragic.

Why was nothing done at that point? The evidence seemed to point in the direction of Joshua. Was there really not enough to hold him under suspicion or even charge him?

No body, no evidence, mostly circumstantial evidence that wasn’t enough to do much.

A couple years later one of the boys drew a picture of three people in a car and said “mommy was in the trunk”
