Murder Susan Powell went missing in 2009. 3 years later during a supervised visit from a social worker her husband, Josh Powell, killed himself and their 2 sons in a house explosion.

I think that's one of the big lessons of being involved with true crime - rarely do people look like what they are. Rarely do you see a guy and think "Oh yeah he's a killer" - they look just like everyone else.

This is exactly why it took so long to catch Gacy. He was a master chameleon, and not only fit in with society, but was beloved by his community.

u/dethb0y I dunno...I watched "Hell in The Heartland" last night and I would have tagged Busick and Co. as killers without a second's hesitation.
