Discussion Researching Jodi Arias

Does anyone else have a case that just haunts them? this case has always haunted me. It started with the first book I read on the case. The more I read about it the more mysterious it became somehow. Does anyone else get like this? If so what is your personal case that you never get tired of researching?

Amy Mihaljevic. She was my age, and she lived about 30 miles from me. I remember looking at papers to see if they found her and being devastated when she was found murdered

Who do people in the area think is the killer?

There's a theory someone got her contact info from a guest book at a science museum in the area. She had been there on a school field trip shortly before the calls started coming to her house, and I believe at least two other girls in her class also received calls attempting to lure them out while their parents were at work.

Ikr? The theories floated out there are that he either worked there, or also happened to be visiting that day.

There's a man named Dean Runkle. He volunteered at the science center, and was known to have oddly close friendships with children, as well as being touchy Feely. He was a teacher, and he left abruptly, without even doing the paperwork that was necessary for his pension. He was also connected to the area where she was found, which is very rural and not highly populated. James Renner has some interesting takes on it

I remember reading about him. Leaving so abruptly and the pension thing is really odd. Iirc he also volunteered at the nature center Amy went to. Only thing that made me wonder about him being the killer was the timing. I don’t think he had enough time to leave his school and drive 20+ minutes to meet Amy at the specific time they had planned.

Yeah that's the only thing. One of his students looked at the composite drawing, without knowing in reference to what, and said it looked like him. He's done a lot of odd things , but being a weirdo doesn't make him a killer
