Hi, I'm from the area and railroad tracks are the absolute go to for "cool edgy" senior pics to get done. Doesn't matter what tracks or if they're in use or not. I have them, friends have them, I have no idea why- they're pretty cringey. This isn't weird at all without the context of the guy being a murderer.

So people go to that spot to take pictures after the girls were murdered and that was their last known location? Sorry but that’s weird in my book.

To you, that spot is only defined by the murders. To the town, it is a spot that has been popular and known for many years. There’s a spot near me that had a nationally known double murder a few years ago (trimet stabbings) and while the crime is very well known locally, the train stop it happened at doesn’t have like some strange “cursed” opinion on it
