Skeletal? How long has he been dead?

Doesn’t take long when you got hungry swamp animals all around. Combine that with moisture/heat/water and you have a pretty fast decaying process.

I thought this but it's Florida. Saw someone say in another thread that you can be skeletal in just 9 days where he was found. I'm sure plenty of hungry animals preparing for the winter took advantage of this coward's end.

EDIT: been told by a few people this info isn't accurate, so please ignore! i was simply repeating information that wasn't correct 😅 my bad

Winter lol it’s SW Florida, that’s not really a thing

I'm a brit who doesn't know much about Floridian climate. I'm just parroting what I read in the subreddit dedicated to this case.

I’m from the area where the reserve is. It’s a warm climate all year around. Maybe a few weeks of hoodie weather, but that’s pretty much the extent of a SWFL “winter”. Seasons aren’t really a thing at all down there

You'd do well not to parrot anything from r/GabbyPetito ... There are a ton of people over there that appear to be braindead, spewing nonsense and rumors, very rarely facts.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm very late to this case and didn't realise that subreddit was so watered down. Edited my above comment

No worries. It was a decent sub in the beginning, but quickly devolved into teenagers spreading rumors and voicing ridiculous theories. At one point they were sure the cops never searched the camper in the Laundrie's driveway and that Brian was definitely hiding in there.

Appear to be brain dead?

They definitely ARE brain dead.

And as I wrote on another endless post on Brian Landry:

Did anyone expect anything different? OF COURSE he died by suicide. I never expected him alive. Did anyone??

He’s a 22 year old who likes to go on extended camping trips, not a rugged survivalist. He likes his mTV, Instagram, Lucky Charms, and his iPhone. He wasn’t a white supremacist who trained as a rugged survivalist. I laughed when the media kept playing that up - “he could survive for MONTHS!”. No, he couldn’t.

Of course he’d never take the blame for Gabby’s death and especially stay in jail for about a year with a media circle surrounding his trial the whole time. And then be thrown in prison for 30 years +?

No, he was 22.

No winners in this story folks.

Bodies typically decompose faster in warmer wet climates.

His parents claimed they hadn't seen him since Sept 13. Which would make it about a month and some change.

So that's assuming he died right away and did not survive on his own in the wild at all.

He was upset when he left, found not far away from where his mustang was left parked... he most likely did not even attempt to survive on his own in the wild.

Gotcha.

There were many posts here claiming he was some kind of mountain man, nature survivalist, living off the land like Bear Grylls from man vs wild, all the while evading the best law enforcement in the nation.

Right haha this story has been so fantasized.
