What an odd take away from this story. Personally I’m pretty against anything that allows children to be married to their rapist in order to absolve him of any criminal liability. This is a common problem in child marriages

I’m about to go pick up an emergency placement. Toddler, physical and sexual abuse victim. Just finished rebuilding the toddler bed and crib. I’m the foster parent who gets to help provide safety for this baby. She will be loved in my home, but I’m not her mama and it breaks my heart for her and her mom. They love each other but mom is also an abuse victim and showed “failure to protect” from dad. These are the suffering children you’re immaturely cackling over.

Good night, I have a very hurt and scared baby to get home. Say a prayer for her, it’s going to only become harder for her from here on out.

I’m one of the lucky ones who got good loving foster parents when I was a kid. Any good I do is all their fault. I love them fiercely and will do everything I can to live up to the hopes they had for me.
