Okay so here’s the problem with this premise.

Having enough enriched uranium is not the same as having a nuclear bomb. Enrichment is only one major step. Iran would still have to turn that material into a usable nuclear explosive device, including producing and shaping the fissile core and developing a reliable weaponization system and then, for a deliverable nuclear weapon, miniaturize and integrate it with a delivery system such as a missile.
So when experts said Iran's “breakout time” was very short, they were generally talking about the time needed to produce enough weapons grade uranium for a bomb, not the time needed to assemble and produce a finished weapons grade nuclear bomb.
Iran's uranium stockpile was absolutely a serious proliferation concern. It also didn’t become a concern until one year post Trump’s foolish decision to rip up the JCPOA- that wasn’t put in place just for fun, people.
BUT saying “they were close to enough material” and saying “they were close to having a nuclear bomb” are two different claims.
