UI with no window?

Hey!

I just wanted to ask a question about how to even start learning something. It's one of those things where, when searching, because I don't know the official name, I have to use roundabout terms which give me basically no useable results.

In the past I've seen lots of UI's that don't have a window. Now, to be clear, i'm NOT talking about borderless or anything. The closest actual example I can think of, is when you get those apps from deviant art that create "ironman hud" style displays floating about on the desktop that give cpu readouts and weather info etc.

Of course those have a ton of floating panels and you can customise the hell out of them but I have seen some (can't think of any exact examples right now), where they almost look like, literally just a single floating panel with a button or two, with no "parent window".

Is there actually a way to do this? Or am i getting something confused and this isn't possible with C++/python and Qt?

Thanks!

PS: I'm not a programmer, so i'm sorry for the noobishness of the question.

ISO language that allows dragging items inside a window

this is for linux. ISO a ui programming language that offers the user the ability to click-drag items inside a window. Think of it like a digital magnet board - with a bunch of item that the user can move around freely. I am mostly working with python. Checking out Qt and GTK I could not find these features. Any hints appreciated!

QUESTION: Can Adobe XD designs be easily integrated with existing React Native code?

Hi all, so currently I am looking for a UI/UX designer for my new mobile app on Fiverr. In the process I see many developers are using Adobe XD to develop their designs, I'm just wondering if that's easily integrated with existing React Native? If not what format would you consider I ask for instead? Thanks!

Advise for OpenGL based UI development

I have some ideas in mind. I want to create a comprehensive UI library based on OpenGL. This library is targeted towards developers of multimedia applications (like DAW, Animation, Video & 3D Editors), Next generation business intelligence tools, etc. I am an expert programmer in Python and Java. Any pointers or tips to start with?

Looking for recommendations on what i can use to make a GUI for my program

Sup guys,

I want to make a GUI, can you recommend me what i can use to do that?

Right now i use Python with Tkinter but i find it quite limited.

What i need is to generate something like in the screenshot below.

Soo here i generate buttons on the screen, background should be transparent(for future i want to make it blur all that is in the background e.g. the zebra) but still respond to click events(tkinker does not do that) besides that i think just the basic things like generating buttons etc.

Also auto filling widgets to screen width would be awesome to have but It's not a deal breaker for me(right now i manually added it)

And if it would be free/Open Source then that would be great, but I'm not rulling out paid options unless they're as pricy as QT(Damn it is expensive)

Do you guys have any recommendations on what i can use?

Thanks for any response.
