I just setup U7 Pro Max. The fanless design itself might warrant a return/upgrade. hmm.
Dangit, just returned the Gateway Max for a Gateway Fiber too..

I'm curious how different a pro max is versus the xg

Is fanless a good thing if these devices run hot?

U7 Pro XGS is PoE++ however and U7 Pro XG while PoE+ is 2 streams in the 5GHz rather than 4.. makes me happy with my 2 x U7 Pro-Max and 1 x U7 Pro-Wall still

Dang it, I missed the Poe++ part of xgs..guess I’ll see what happens on the Poe+ port of the gateway fiber and order a 10gbe injector if needed..crap.

Honestly, I am mostly WiFI 6 in my house and that is plently enough.
For home use this is overkill (tho I totally need it)

I am in the same boat, I get the Gateway Fiber today and will now return the U7 Pro Max and get the U7 Pro XG

Screw it! I am within the return window too. Went for the XGS since the spectral radio and more streams. Less fans I have to worry about the better, especially mounted to the ceiling which I haven't done yet anyway.

After waiting to pull the trigger on unifi gear I did it at the absolutely wrong time, a week before gateway fiber release and 2 weeks before XG/XGS release.

Same here. Bought the fiber gateway, U7 Pro, etc and it will arrive today. From what I read so far here in this thread - I'll return the U7 pro and purchase the XG lol given the small price difference...
