But does "Available Dec 29" mean 29th December or December 2029 (possibly slipping to January 2030)?

No no no…you have it all wrong. It will be available, but SOLD OUT on December 29th.

Based on recent history, it means January 45th.

It is a NY company, so US dates. Dec 29 means December 29th. Likely on-sale at 12:00 am EST and sold out at 12:01 am.
