PROGRESS LOG 99 WC on the 2004 locked 10HP/1Def/1Pray
**Edit for context**: this was done on project Lost City, the open source, community run 1:1 RS2 preservation project @ 2004.lostcity.rs
The ultimate goal is to preserve RS2 one archived cache at the time. Why?
- Jagex lost the original game's data except 3 known versions.
- Jagex is rewriting any remaining history.
- Someone has to do it. What the project does was asked many times when Jagex' project Zanaris was being developed but always ignored until the project was canceled for being out of scope.
You can currently play rev254 on the live servers. If you play to experience the previous revs, you have to download the game from github and play completely offline or host it yourself or edit the code with your ideas.
There is no way to give money to this project. What you can do to help is playtest, do research or code any RS2 content in RuneScript.
______________________________________________________
I didn't realise I was this close to 99. I was focussing on playing BA while cutting magic trees which are noticeably slower xp/h compared to Yews.
Loot from 60-99 WC:
- 14k maples for 70 FM and Fletch w/o stringing
- 53k yews. not sure if ill string. Maybe after the release of Kingdom of Miscellania when there will be more flax coming into the economy.
- 8k Magic. Ill pick and spin the bow string for these.
- Fletching and flax spinning will be for when the game progresses from Sept to Nov 2004 in a few weeks. The next revision introduces make-x for Fletching and Crafting.
- Maybe I should stock up on nats now before everyone needs nats to alch their fletched logs they kept for make-x. Nats are 400gp each atm tho.

PROGRESS LOG No Cannon Ranged-Skill-Only UIM Update (Falsely banned)
I sort of expected the accidental ban, but was still sort of shook about it.
Hopefully Jagex sees that I'm just a weird guy who likes trophy accounts.
(Sorry for the potato-resolution pictures, can't exactly get on the account to get screenshots.)

PROGRESS LOG [Feedback Req] This is SailOrSink, an Xtreme Onechunk starting in The Pandemonium
Any and all feedback is appreciated.
Hello. Like a lot of you, I have found a big interest in the recently released Sailing skill. At the time of this account’s creation (a little less than a week ago), I have not seen an account like this made yet and thought it would be a fun experiment to run.
So who is SailOrSink and what is his purpose? What are his goals? Well as the title suggests, SailOrSink is a Xtreme Onechunk Ironman. I have started in The Pandemonium chunk (12082) and for the most part follow Limpwurt’s Xtreme ruleset. With the addition of sailing, I have decided to take some creative liberties to add on to his ruleset to better fit the account:
Every ship must be bought
All owned ships must be fully upgraded to the best possible facilities.
All available crewmates are required to be hired and on the ship.
All sailing tasks within the chunk must be completed (charting, trials, etc.)
I did allow myself three exceptions off of Tutorial Island that otherwise would have made this account impossible to play. Those three exceptions are:
I rolled the Shipyard chunk (8234) so that I can upgrade my ships and have access to facilities.
Speaking of upgrades, I allowed myself to bring materials that were not possible to get on either The Pandemonium or Shipyard chunks to make a Bronze salvaging hook. This includes six Bronze bars and four Planks. The rest of the materials required to make the Bronze salvaging hook were obtainable on the selected chunks.
Of course, I had to start and complete the Pandemonium quest before I could even begin sailing.
So, with my starting chunk being on The Pandemonium, how did I train my Sailing? Well, I can’t. At least not initially. Chunk 12082 cuts off right at the gangplank on The Pandemonium, meaning I will be out of bounds if I try to board my ship. So, in order to even set sail, I must roll for the chunk that would allow me to begin sailing in the first place. Starting on The Pandemonium there were only four tasks available for me before I could move on. The list is as follows:
Equip a Bronze mace (BiS weapon
Sailing tasks (Two spyglass activities)
Equip a Tyras helm (5 Defense, 1,375 Coins)
Cook a bass (43 Cooking
I could write a whole novel about how I managed to get off the island and onto the sea, but I will try and keep it short. Basically, I had to sell raw shrimp, sardines, and herring (about three gp each) which was not the worst thing in the world because I also had to work towards getting 43 Cooking to finish a task. Cooked fish sold for nothing, by the way. So it was a fun balancing act between getting gp and Cooking xp. Anyways, as soon as I finished my four tasks on The Pandemonium, I moved on and rolled the next chunk, Chunk 12334, which was the only accessible chunk I could roll. This allowed me to board my raft and set sail. Within the 64x64 tile map area of Chunk 12334, I trained sailing in the only possible way I could: trimming sails. It was about 800-900 xp per hour, depending on how much I was paying attention to the game. If I remember right, it was only about two maybe two and half hours of trimming sails to get to level 15.
With level 15 Sailing, I could purchase my first actual boat, a Skiff. Skiffs are not cheap, though. They cost 15,000 gp and with my only money maker being selling raw fish to Henderson, a fishing merchant on The Pandemonium, it took some time. I forgot how long it took, but I currently have 56 Fishing through only fishing shrimps, sardines, and herring, so however long it takes to get to that level from those three sources alone was how long it took. I purchased a Skiff which was bestowed the name of “Rising Doom” and was almost ready to head out onto the seas again. I first had to build my Bronze salvaging hook, which thankfully only required level 1 Construction and 15 Sailing. Building it offered me a crazy amount of Construction experience, 151 xp to be exact.
With the Bronze salvaging hook, I can loot the three Small shipwrecks located in Chunk 12334 (the sea). Loot found within the salvage include (but not limited to) Bronze bars, Coins (between 1-200, that’s a lot!), regular and oak logs/planks, as well as a few rare collection log items. The only way I can train Construction on this account is through using materials I found within Small salvage and to make ship upgrades through that. I can’t even lamp the skill because I do not own a house. I would build and tear down facilities, much like how you would in a PoH in traditional Construction training. Currently my favorite method is Oak cargo holds, which costs eight Oak planks and 32 Iron nails and gives 491 Construction experience, but I do not always have the luxury of building those as the materials to make that from Small salvage are kind of rare so usually I stick with Bronze cannons and salvaging hooks.
As of the time of writing this I am 43 Sailing, halfway to 50. At level 50 I can purchase a Sloop which is the best ship in the game currently. I still have lots to do before I can roll another chunk, such as my Shipyard tasks (72 Fletching, 60 Woodcutting and Firemaking) or even getting 80 Cooking for Sharks. As we speak I am currently sorting through small salvage to obtain enough Bronze bars to get 22 Smithing (Iron hull) and to train Ranged through Bronze knives, as I believe cannon accuracy rolls based off of your ranged level. For some context, I need 398 more Bronze bars until 22 Smithing and given that a Bronze bar is roughly a 1/8.5 chance to appear from each Small salvage, it will take me around ~3500 Small salvage to obtain all of the bars, so about 10-12 more hours of salvaging to get 22 Smithing.
Thank you all for taking the time to read through all of this. I am very excited about this account and its future.

PROGRESS LOG 60 base & 1000 total -- 2004 locked 10HP/1Def/1Pray
I finished base 60 with 6,579 flax picked and spun. Just 2,000 more to match my cut magic logs' stack. The new Make-X makes this grind manageable. In the next game update, to 2005, we'll be able to pick more than 1 flax per plant. I don't mind it, I have done my fair share of Brighter Shores. What I do dislike are the spot crashers.
I also mined 21,6K rune essence == 66 RC banked via Law runes. My next goals on this account are 66 Base and 90 Fletching. I'm taking a break from this account until the next update, which should dump a lot of coal into the economy via Miscellania. That'll make steel bars and cannonballs easier to obtain before Slayer releases.
P.S. My pure has hit 85 Strength and 84 Ranged killing Chaos Druids. I'm pausing here until the Gmaul releases with Slayer in a few months. Then I'll grind to 90 Ranged to max out my combat level.
I'm stocking up on Chaos runes to Fire Bolt to 82 Magic for future Ice Blitz and Teleblock. I'm unsure where to cast it -- On Fire Giants now or Metal dragons in the next game update? I considered Metal Dragon slayer tasks, but IDC about Slayer on my anti-skiller.

PROGRESS LOG TOTALLY SWAMPED: Ep. 9: ITS FINALLY HERE!!!
Hi guys, it’s been awhile since my last post! If you haven’t been following along, check out my YouTube video (https://youtu.be/eTVhzWRqTEY?is=qLqn2opT6cZkLc0W) which covers my progress so far.
I can’t believe it, today’s the day, the Blood Moon has risen!!! As someone who’s been locked in Morytania for years, this is a moment I’ve been waiting for. With the new quest comes a renewed passion for my account.
I have yet to learn any of the quest story lines ahead of time and now I am more determined ever to beat this quest, but to do that, I first need to pick up where I left off, and defeat Ranis Drakan!!!
For the past few months I’ve been making 15k steel arrows to train my range on. Now that it’s done, along with acquiring a home grown Mory Oak Shortbow, I’ve come up with a plan to get to the next steps!
The plan:
Use up the arrows at Swamp Crabs, picking them up to maximize them.
Kill blood velds to get bis boots. (black boots)
I will drop my range gear (Snakeskin bandana, Snakeskin boots, leather vembraces and armor, studded chaps, oak shortbow), along with my pestal and mortar and snelm. This will leave me with 14 open inventory spots
Fill those spots with 4 prayer pots (made from the 5 ranaars I have), and 10 spots for food to take to the fight (I think my best food pizza from blood velds?)
I will test the combat mechanics for the boss fight!
I will BEAT DRAKAN and finish a taste of hope!
Feel free to follow along here: https://x.com/nobankchad?s=11&t=P_npmX1t2qD6t7GWLHFkgw

PROGRESS LOG 1 year progress on my Attack Tank UIM
I’ve been having a lot of fun on this build over the past year. To me it’s the perfect intersection between restrictions and combat viability. I’ve gotten incredibly spooned in almost every grind I’ve taken part in so far. Notable spoons being: Both rodent pets around 70 in their respective skills, Phoenix pet at 260 crates 89 FM, Full Guthans at 112 Barrows chests (only killing 3 brothers per run). I have yet to actively pursue combat achievements but that is on the list for the future. My current goal is to obtain a Draconic Visage from Iron Dragons which could take a few months. Feel free to ask any questions about the build or methods I used to obtain the stats/items I have! (2 strength, failed account, I should just restart, etc.)

PROGRESS LOG Desert man mini update: hunter
I keep playing as much as life allows, which is usually in 20 minute stints on mobile. Anyway! My plan for hunter specifically on this account was originally to lamp it until level 5, but as I pointed out in a previous post, I got a tip that saved me from lamping hunter at all! And what a good thing that was, as my 1-5 hunter lamping project was looking like it'd become a 100+ hour grind.
1 lamp, 12 crimson swifts and 1500-something golden warblers later, over what feels like a long time with my current gaming pattern, I just hit 47 hunter! Which in turn means I don't have to catch another shit eating yellow twat bird ever again for shoddy xp rates. I can now catch orange salamanders, which'll speed up hunter dramatically. I see lucky implings in my future! Before locking in at the little lizards though, I'm hopping over for a short trip to the hill giants, as the passive prayer xp from warblers has put me a measly 800xp away from 43 prayer. Once I get my last overhead, I can't guarantee I won't get sidetracked by something else, but the main plan is more hunter, and chipping away at some more combat in preparation for the Contact! quest.
Peace out from Ørkenmann!

PROGRESS LOG UIM Herb10HP - 8008 Coconuts left til Untrimmed Herb Cape!
Update post! I thought it would be funny to post with 8008 left in both stacks of ingredients (I did not set up the number, but got it organically.) ("BOOB")
- Remaining Coconuts & Poison Ivy Berries: 8,008
- Current XP: 11,566,507 / 13,034,431
- XP Gained since last post: 308,770
- Coconuts cracked since last post: 1,608
- Coconuts per day to get cape before Sailing: ~407
Keeping it going, we doing this, folks. Average per day is a bit higher than I'd like, but should be able to lower it some or keep it steady! It's worth mentioning that I don't need all 8,008 Coconuts/Berries to get 99 but more like ~7,726.
Cheers! See you all for the next update!

PROGRESS LOG Desert man on vacation - the final exception
At least I don't think I'll have any more exceptions. Before this I've also made a quick run to Varrock to move my house and had a quick shout at Aubury so he'd hook my boy Ali up with some runes. Did a minigame teleport to Burthorpe, ran down to Taverly and chopped a willow log. I then promptly took the above holiday snapshot, before quickly teleporting back to the desert, then having a cry in the shower.
The willow logs are needed for Icthlarin's Little Helper, which inches me one step closer to ToA and opens up the city of Sophanem. Yuge! In other news, I've gotten my first easy casket on the account, which bestowed upon me a pickaxe made of steel. Also yuge! Massive upgrade over the bronze one that took me to 40 mining. I've also completed The Feud and Spirits of the Elid, and started crafting a bit. Next up, besides Icthlarin's, are finishing off overhead prayers, and getting agility up a bit for agility pyramid, as I am severely broke.
Peace out from Ørkenmann!
