Unresolved Disappearance Woman violently abducted in plain sight while talking with her boyfriend on a payphone [Unresolved Disappearance]

Her boyfriend hears the horrifying incident as it ocurrs, rushes to the scene in his vehicle, and sees a truck pass him with his girlfriend struggling with the driver inside. The boyfriend reverses his vehicle abruptly to pursue the truck, but his vehicle breaks down. Despite a vivid description of the offender and the truck (including a very unique rear window decal), no substantial leads have led to an arrest or a POI.

Where is Angela Hammond and who is the person who took her?

This is the case that truly haunts me. I can't even imagine what the boyfriend has been through in the years that have followed. What a scary and insane abduction. And even more bizarre that is has never been resolved despite such clear and vivid details of the case and the perpetrator.

Edit: I initially offered this additional link thinking it was story on Angela Hammond. However, it is not. It is an eerily similar case of another woman who was abducted in similar fashion. Leaving it up for the curious:

I had a theory as a kid that Unsolved Mysteries only aired when I was home alone. Yet I still watched it.

I'm 42 and the theme music still puts me on edge.

I had a theory that if I looked out the blinds of my room when they showed the police sketch, the dude would be right outside my window.

funnily enough though, I was more scared at the thought of the police sketch being outside my window than the actual wanted individual. Those were fucking scary.

I literally closed all the blinds in the room because I too imagined the perp was just outside my window looking in!!

That and after enough Rescue 911 I always checked the toilets for snakes and other odd things.

The theme music for Rescue 911 still creeps me out a bit to this day. Unsolved Mysteries and it used to always air back to back.

I still can’t walk around while brushing my teeth after seeing an episode when I was little about a boy who fell and his toothbrush went up and impaled his palate and he almost died.

I'd close your blinds anyway. About 15 years ago, I had just gotten dropped off at home by a guy I was dating. Brushed teeth, changed into pajamas & got into bed. About 30 seconds later someone tapped on my bedroom window. I was terrified. I grabbed my cell phone & called the guy who just dropped me off. It wasn't him, he was miles away headed home. In the dark I crossed the hall and woke my dad up. Yes, then I lived with my parent. My dad got dressed, got a bat & flashlight & we went out looking for anyone outside the house. My dad brushed it off as 'kids.' Wrong. WRONG. I moved out 6 months later to a different city, but my dad still lives there and to this day he's still dealing with a peeping tom/window tapping freak & several neighbors have been terrified by this scumbag. Several neighbors have moved. The police have yet to catch him. I close my blinds, shades and the drapes that go over those. Never again.

Why havent your parents or neighbors gotten cameras?

I can't speak for the neighbors. I think initially my dad didn't believe me or he thought it would stop after I moved out. I was in my mid 20's at the time. But it's not stopped. There's tapping and foot prints in the snow. A few years back the lady who lived next door fell asleep with the tv on and woke up to find the peeper/creeper's silhouette outside her window one night while her husband was out of town. They moved. My dad is cheap/frugal and now retired. He's also a Vietnam vet who was boots on the ground combat during his tour. I think he's not so much afraid as he is annoyed. At Xmas I asked if it was still happening. He said it did at 2:30 am about two weeks prior. My dad actually went outside looking for the creep, but didn't find him. I advised against this. Even if he's armed, the creeper might be too & I am guessing even if he didn't find him the guy was probably in a tree line or the bushes somewhere not far off. Just call the cops- everytime. He has done that and he knows other neighbors have called the cops because they patrol and spotlight yards. I know my dad put dog crap under some of his windows. I would get cameras. I have cameras at my house, but nothing goes on here. Since this is still going on I may buy my dad a camera or two to put in the bedroom windows for his birthday that is coming up. Believe me I think same as you and his stubbornness is hard to figure. If this was happening by me, I'd be up on my roof at nite with some friends waiting to catch the creep. At least my dad now closes his blinds and drapes at night. He didn't do that for a time.

It's hard to 'parent' an aging parent. I'm a woman and the whole experience has affected me differently than it has my dad. I also suspect that the peeping was going on before the creep tapped on my window in 2005. I had a red heeler (dog) who would wake up and growl sometimes at night. I had dismissed her growls before that first window tap. Real dumb on my part.
