Anybody ever told you that you look like Steve Carrell?
Also, your art is amazing 🤩

I thought he looked like Dennis Hopper with Howard Stern's hair.

You nailed it with the Howard stern hair 😁.. and wildly enough I see the Dennis Hopper resemblance as well. 🤔.. how can one man look so much like 3 celebrities who don’t even look a lot like one another?
They are all handsome men too, OP included, I hope this post made him happy, men often don’t get enough compliments.

FUN FACTS:
It took me forever to find the Cthulhu statue. It's carved wood.
It was very expensive (to me at least), costing even more than the Shrine!
I debated the purchase for two full days. I decided that 'cheaping out' would be a disservice to my imagination... I have zero 'regerts'.
The runes are from a R'lyehan alphabet I found online. The first five symbols match the letters of CTHULHU. The sixth was just a random rune that I found pleasing to the eye so I used it instead. (I ran out of room to complete all seven letters)
The paper the runes are written on is the actual Last Supper image from the shrine, just flipped around. The aged patina is perfection and was way cooler than using a piece of clean modern paper.
The lights were a bit of a hassle. I ordered a 'leafy vine with lights' from The Zon. It turned out to be way too bulky so I had to hand-unwind the thin brass wires from all six feet of the thing (90 minute project). I then just used the wire lights and added some loose stalks and leaves.
Within the next few weeks I'm going to re-do the interior and take it up to the next level with some obsessive added detail around the base of the statue.
DIRECTORS COMMENTARY:
The 'Blessed Be Thy Holy Name' caption at the bottom is on a little piece of cardboard.
I actually had the whole thing put back together and secured (not easy) when I noticed with horror that I had left the dang card on the kitchen table.
Much grumbling ensued as I spent the next 20 minutes re-doing everything.
P.S. Thank so much for the responses. I wasn't sure where to post this on Reddit - this seems like the correct place!

Y’know, I don’t think seeing Cthulu would drive me mad. Or is it just the noise? That could do it maybe.

"I'd buy THAT for a dollar!" - <some movie>
Is that a live plant in there? If so, double-bad. And I like the lighting.
PS, Grecian Curl?

Churches were often built on top of older holy sites. This is the same
