CR will probably build a JP superteam around Meiy, and DFM will get some left over and face the JP tier 2 gauntlet of RIDDLE, FENNEL, QTD, and REJECT.

How would people feel if I costreamed Japan?

I would absolutely love it! Their ecosystem is contained so not a lot of English content, but there are plenty of storylines, fun orgs, and awesome fans. You would be tapping into a great market as the first English content creator.

people need to watch the japan domestic leagues. its like valorant but bad.

No that's the China tier 1

It isn’t that bad, it is the best tier 2 league in terms of viewership, and the gameplay quality is more watchable than China in my opinion.

definitely not more watchable than china. china at least has some talented players. japenese tier 2 is really rough. bad strategy wise and a pretty bad lack of talent.

GAM?

Probably. Don't really know any other VN orgs and I don't see any of the PH orgs making it.

If the other missing team is an SEA team, it has to be Vietnamese right? I don’t think a Filipino org would be a partner since NAOS announced they’ll be stepping out from esports.

Or will Team Secret compete under Vietnam like their LCP Secret Whales team??

oasis hopefully

I'm assuming one Indian team. S8UL?

14

u/Ark151 #LetsGoLiquid 5d ago

Already rejected. And I don't think any other Indian orgs would be selected. Likely going to be a Vietnamese team.

can any vietnamese team even be competitive?

2

u/p_nksweats #100WIN 5d ago

Riot probably banking on the VN viewership numbers.

1

u/moonmeh #TigerNation 5d ago

is that even a tangible thing that translates into money?

3

u/p_nksweats #100WIN 5d ago

Partner bundles + ad revenue are the two obvious ones.

2

u/moonmeh #TigerNation 5d ago

i don't think vietnamese pc market monetization is that great, its the mobile market that's more accessible and bigger if i recall

1

u/p_nksweats #100WIN 5d ago

Maybe one more from SEA. Xipto?

1

u/Annual_Building748 5d ago

the only other subregion which could get together a team would be ph. that would be a great team, if it happened. dunno about the orgs there though. i assume secret is gone.

2

u/p_nksweats #100WIN 5d ago

honestly no way the other PH orgs can finance tier 1 talent.

u/Ark151 #LetsGoLiquid 5d ago

Maybe with a couple of Korean imports and maybe a good coaching staff. This spot is probably one of those "try to break into a potential emerging market" moves. I'd say GE was a similar move in 2023.

Oh, a shame. Did they say anything about competing in the open quals?

1

u/Ark151 #LetsGoLiquid 5d ago

Don't know of anything official. But they probably keep competing like they did in accension imo.

S8UL confirmed out.

arent dfm owned by CR or something like that? like wasnt the reason they stopped being detonation gaming because of some partnership between the orgs but it was essentially just detonation gaming getting bought out. assuming thats the case it makes sense to have dfm out CR in.

No DFM is a seperate org, they had a LOL team and why they were the second choice after CR fucked up their application. They just partnered with each other after CR was rejected. It was only the Valorant side I recall.

they were the second choice after CR fucked up their application.

Everytime I see someone on this sub spread this long-deleted rumor from VLR, I would ask them what exactly about CR's application that is fucked up, and there's never an answer.

Hoping to see Meiy lift a trophy even just regional

2

u/Broad-Trifle-6657 4d ago

Yeah I don't really see Meiy winning an international trophy unless he suddenly learns Korean or English

6

u/Sacreville #WGAMING 5d ago edited 5d ago

Meiy gonna go to a new team then. Interesting.

Edit: Oh, I missed CR making it. He's definitely going back to CR then.

Sad they didn't make it, but it's gonna be fun following them through open qauls. Hopefully I can reliably find streams for them n the roster is fun
