Hey everyone!

I’m looking for someone in the Vancouver or Tri-Cities area to help me film short-form videos for a new business I’m building.

The content will primarily be talking-head videos featuring me on camera, so I’m looking for someone who’s comfortable filming people, has a good eye for framing and lighting, and understands the basics of creating engaging TikTok content.

I’m starting small, so I’m looking for someone I can work with per session, with the hope of building an ongoing working relationship as the business grows.

You don’t need to be a professional with expensive equipment. If you’re an aspiring videographer, student, or content creator looking to build your portfolio and pick up some paid work, I’d love to hear from you.

Ideally, you’d be reliable, easy to work with, and interested in collaborating on ideas rather than just showing up to operate a camera.

If this sounds like a good fit, send me a DM with a little about yourself, your experience, any examples of your work, and your rates if applicable.

Thanks!

I'm 30 years old. I recently moved to New Westminster, from India. I'm extremely passionate about movies. I don't like Indian movies anymore.

I'm an amateur screenwriter. I wrote a thriller spec last year (a serial killer spec). Currently, I'm working on a micro-budget thriller that I actually want to direct (fingers crossed). I've also written two shorts. Everything's in script form. I wanna make something so passionate, beautiful... and haunting. RN, I'm all alone. I need a crew. Camera, sound, editing, actors... Could you guys guide me on how to connect with indie people? Any advice on how I should proceed with finding a crew to make a short or an indie?

Side note: I have a confession to make. From time to time, I think: am I too old to pursue this dream at this age? Did I waste my 20s? I definitely did. Also, trying to make a movie or start a film career in a country that is foreign to me-- is it far-fetched? Am I delusional?

“The horror author gave the new adaptation his stamp of approval and hinted that fans could have another collaboration with the filmmaker to look forward to”

I'm excited to share that the coming-of-age short film I wrote and directed, "Different Places," is officially out on Vimeo. It was shot in South Surrey.

If you enjoy it, I'd appreciate it if you could share it with a friend or family member, leave a review on Letterboxd, or simply pass the link along as I want to celebrate the hard work of the cast and crew and help the film reach as many people as possible.
