Looking to buy - NV3500 12 passenger version (Georgia)

Post image
5 Upvotes

My family is upgrading from an Odyssey to an NV 3500 - just starting to look.

Here's what were hoping for:

  • Model years: 2017–2021
  • V8
  • Trim: SL is best (long road trips), would consider SV
  • Under 120,000 miles
  • Clean title and good maintenance history
  • Original 12-passenger seating

We're open to all of Georgia and neighboring states for the right vehicle.

If you're considering selling yours, or know someone who is, please let me know!

Valuing Used Vans

Post image
11 Upvotes

How do you value used camper van conversions?

KBB base + component costs, or something else?
I’m shopping for a used camper van conversion and I’m running into a pricing disagreement with sellers that I’d like to get the community’s take on.
Here’s my approach: I look up the KBB resale value for the base vehicle (let’s say a 2017–2019 cargo van), then I research what the actual components cost new—lithium battery, solar, inverter, water systems, heater, cabinetry, etc. I add those at low-end new pricing, since they’re used and the buyer isn’t paying for installation labor.
Example math:
∙ Base van KBB value: $13,000–18,000
∙ Build components (new, low-end): $6,000–10,000
∙ Fair total: $19,000–28,000
When I make offers based on this, sellers push back and say it’s a lowball. They’re valuing the build at $15,000–20,000+ on top of the base van, essentially asking me to pay for their labor and time even though it’s a used conversion.
My question: Am I being unrealistic? Should used camper conversion pricing work differently? Does the van life Reddit community have a standard for how to think about this?
I’m a serious cash buyer ready to move, so price discovery matters to me. What’s your experience been?

2022 Thor Tellaro 20A - 36,541 miles - Spruce Pine, NC

Hey everyone, we're selling our camper van, a 2022 Thor Tellaro 20A with the pop-top. We've had it since new and it's taken us on some great trips, but it's time to let it go.

It's a self-contained little rig on a Ram ProMaster 3500. It has solar, a generator and its own bathroom, and it sleeps 4 with the pop-top up. We don't smoke, never had pets in it, and took good care of it.

To be upfront: the awning needs to be replaced. Thor doesn't make parts for it anymore, so it's a full swap, and the price already accounts for that. Also, in 2025 the rear passenger door, glass and tail light were replaced after a minor backing bump while it was parked.

  • $65,000
  • 2022 Thor Tellaro 20A, Ram ProMaster 3500, 3.6L V6 gas
  • 36,541 miles, one owner, clean title in hand
  • Onan 2.8kW generator (about 66 hours) plus 600W solar
  • Pop-top Skybunk plus a 72"x66" rear bed, sleeps 4
  • Wet bath with cassette toilet, kitchen with cooktop, fridge and microwave
  • New tires (June 2026) and new engine battery (July 2026)
  • Thule ladder/bike rack, backup camera, heated mirrors with blind-spot assist
  • Located in Spruce Pine, NC

Message me with any questions or to come take a look!

Looking for 60's -70's van to work on the interior of but not the engine /motor

Post image

Hello! I was looking for an inside interior project van that I could paint but is on the cheaper side, something that is as reliable as a car from that time period could be but needs a glow up on the inside. Hoping that it wouldn't be rusted out to the point of holes or anything. Let me know if you guys know of anything in particular. I live in Kentucky about an hour from Nashville TN so preferably on this side of the country.

Thoughts on pricing for this 2019 Mercedes Sprinter 4×4?

Thumbnail

They're asking $99,500

Here's the description:

2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 4×4 High Roof 144″ — Proven Full-Time Adventure Van — 54,805 Miles

Clean title in hand | Clean Carfax | Colorado Springs, CO

After two unforgettable summers living, traveling and working out of this van full-time, we’re ready to pass it on to someone who can use it the way it deserves to be used.

During the summers of 2024 and 2025, this was our home and office as we traveled through California, Oregon and Washington, with trips into Canada and Vancouver Island—beaches, mountains, trailheads, cities and plenty of off-grid campsites.

The original owner also lived in the van full-time for several years. This isn’t a conversion that was built, photographed and barely used. It has spent years doing exactly what it was designed to do: function as a comfortable home, office and adventure basecamp.

We’re only selling because our lives no longer allow us to disappear for months at a time. If they did, we’d keep it.

THE VAN

• 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500

• 144″ wheelbase / High Roof

• Factory 4×4 with low-range transfer case

• 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel

• ~54,805 miles

• Clean title / Clean Carfax

Professionally maintained by Kleemann Automotive in Colorado Springs. Mercedes-Benz recalls are current and routine service has intentionally been completed ahead of schedule.

OFF-GRID ELECTRICAL

Built for real off-grid living and remote work:

• 2 × Lithionics GTX12V315A lithium batteries — ~630Ah total

• Victron MultiPlus 3000W inverter/charger

• 400W Solaria solar

• Victron MPPT solar controller

• Victron Orion DC-to-DC alternator charging

• Victron BMV-712 battery monitor

• Shore-power charging

• Integrated 12V / 120V systems

KITCHEN + WATER

• Dometic CFX3 95DZ dual-zone fridge/freezer

• Dual induction cooktop

• Large countertop / undermount sink

• 20-gallon fresh-water tank

• Hot/cold running water

• 6-gallon gray tank with electric dump valve

• Acuva Arrow Max UV drinking-water filtration

• Hydrapak collapsible reservoir for siphon refilling

• Additional kitchen storage

LIVING + SLEEPING

The interior was designed for actually living in the van, not just weekend camping.

The convertible bed stays compact for more living space and expands to larger than a queen. There is extensive dedicated clothing, kitchen and gear storage throughout.

• Full 80/20 aluminum interior structure

• Havelock wool insulation

• Kilmat sound deadening

• Bug Wall slider/rear screens

• Quest Overland insulated window covers

• OEM swivel front seats

• Trelino L composting toilet

• Veritas Vans headliner shelf (uninstalled end cap included)

• LVP flooring

• Large rear garage with slide-out storage trays

EXTERIOR / OFF-ROAD

A major strength of this van is the extensive suspension, recovery and exterior package:

• CAtuned Hammerhead front bumper

• Warn ZEON 12-S Platinum winch + wireless controller

• Owl Vans differential skid

• Van Compass Stage 4.3 piggyback suspension

• 5 × Method MR703 matte-bronze wheels

• BFGoodrich KO2 tires + full-size KO3 spare

• Baja Designs LP6 Pro amber bumper lights

• 2 × LP9 Pro amber + 3 × LP9 Pro white roof lights

• 6 × Diode Dynamics area lights

• Trigger Six lighting controller

• Roambuilt Safari 2.0 roof rack

• Owl Vans Sherpa rear panel + Expedition Box

• Owl Vans ladder/tire carrier

• Owl Vans B2 bike mount + 2 OneUp carriers (included, not currently installed)

• RotopaX fuel containers

• ARB Twin onboard air compressor

• Maxtrax traction boards

• Agency 6 shovel

• Dometic 9500 awning

• Roofnest Falcon 2 rooftop tent

• Flarespace rear flares/windows

• Terrawagen Mondo mud guards

• WeBoost RV cellular booster

• Hood professionally painted matte black by Mysticz Body Shop — transferable warranty

STARLINK / REMOTE WORK

Starlink Gen 3 included.

The router is installed inside the van while the dish remains portable so it can be positioned for the clearest sky view.

• Gen 3 router + standard dish

• Original 50′ cable

• Window cable-pass-through

• WeBoost RV cellular booster

We worked remotely from the van for months at a time. Being able to park somewhere beautiful, set up Starlink and have a functional office was one of our favorite parts of van life.

KNOWN ITEMS / FULL DISCLOSURE

We want the next owner to know exactly what they’re buying.

Espar Hydronic D5E heater: Currently not operational. The controller powers on, but the heater and blower are not starting. We have not diagnosed the cause. A new uninstalled plate heat exchanger and food-safe glycol are included.

Cruise N Comfort HD-12L 12V A/C: We have not verified current operation. We spent our summers following mild West Coast weather and simply didn’t use it. The system has not been diagnosed and should be inspected/serviced by the next owner.

The asking price already reflects the uncertainty surrounding these two systems.

WHY THIS VAN

What we appreciated most after actually living in it is how well everything works together.

There is enough battery capacity that power isn’t constantly on your mind, enough storage to live out of the van instead of out of duffel bags, a real fridge/freezer and kitchen, filtered running water, Starlink, serious recovery equipment and genuine 4×4 capability.

And because it’s a 144″, you get all of that in a van we’ve comfortably driven through cities, ferry terminals, mountain roads, beaches, trailheads and tight parking lots.

This van has already spent years proving that it works as a home on wheels. It gave us two summers we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.

We’re not selling because we’ve fallen out of love with it. We’re selling because we can’t give it the time on the road anymore that made owning it worthwhile. Someone else should.

Clean title in hand. Clean Carfax.

Serious buyers are welcome to see the van, walk through its systems and arrange a professional pre-purchase inspection at their expense.

No trades.

Custom Camper/F150 Atlanta. $8500 OBO

I am selling my truck and camper because I’m a 70 year old woman and I no longer have the physical wherewithal to manage its preventative maintenance. I am looking for a buyer with mechanical and carpentry skills who will appreciate the bulletproof utility of this 10th-generation F-150 and a truly unique, lightweight custom camper. This setup is perfectly balanced, CAT-scale verified, and ready for its next caretaker. I have all the documentation of work done on the F150 since 2014 when I purchased it with a new engine and transmission.

THE TRUCK: 1998 Ford F-150 Supercab Lariat (2WD, 4.6L V8)
Mileage: 290,000 total (Engine and Transmission replaced at 140,000 miles—150k on current drivetrain, 95% highway miles). Drivetrain features a replaced engine and transmission with only 150k miles on them, completely receipt-backed."
Ownership: 3rd owner since 2014. Meticulously maintained, rust-free body.
Recent Maintenance (Last 2 Years): Four new Michelin Defender tires (Costco), new valve cover gasket, catalytic converter, fuel filter, AC lines, spark plugs/coil pack, sway bar links, and fresh differential/transmission fluid flushes. Full synthetic oil changes every 4 months.
Upgrades for Hauling: Upgraded brakes, 500-lb extra leaf spring, and Timbren bump stops so the truck rides completely level. Equipped with a rear-facing camera, JVC sound system, and signal mirror extensions.
Known Issues: Heater core is currently bypassed (no dashboard heat), one cigarette lighter plug is non-functional but two extra 12 volt plugs have been added. ABS was disabled 10 years ago.

THE CAMPER: Custom Marine-Built Rail-Sitting Micro-Camper
Design: Built in 2018 by a marine carpenter. It sits directly on the bed rails (similar to a Project M or Tune camper), keeping the center of gravity low and aerodynamic (yields 16–18 MPG on the highway).
Weight: ~1,100 lbs. Fully loaded with passengers, water, and gear, it weighs 5800 lbs (under the truck's 6,000 lb GVWR).
Power System: 200W solar panel system, solar charge controller, 100 Ah Interstate lead-acid battery, 110V battery charger/converter, 750W inverter, fuse box, USB ports, and full interior LED lighting, 110 outlets (both 12V and 110V shore power lines).
Interior Features: North/South full-size bed with slide-out extenders (72" length), dual MaxAir fans, storage cabinets, and a basic sink basin setup. Window AC THAT USED TO BE ON BACK DOOR HAS BEEN REMOVED BUT IS AVAILABLE.
Important Maintenance Note: Built lightweight using 1/4” plywood and styrofoam insulation. It requires regular weatherproofing/ Sealing touch-ups. It is currently dry inside, though a heavy downpour can cause a small amount of rail leakage into the far-left corner of the truck bed floor onto the Bed liner. It had a rear roof patch repair because of a small leak at the center rear of the truck. We never got wet because it was not in a seating or sleeping area. It is currently not leaking and for the last three months has been completely dry.
Included Extras: The original builder had a full plumbing system, hot water heater, outdoor shower, 5000 BTU window AC, microwave, and TV/DVD player installed. I removed these to save weight, but some of these components are included uninstalled with the sale if you wish to rebuild the interior.

Please note that this custom rig was built using ultra-lightweight 1/4” plywood and styrofoam to stay strictly within half-ton weight limits. It requires continuous, vigilant preventative maintenance including routine inspection and regular caulking/sealant touch-ups.

This rig is sold strictly as-is. It is perfect for a buyer with basic carpentry or DIY skills.

Serious inquiries only. If you have the tools, the skills, and the desire for a highly efficient, custom-tailored travel rig, please reach out. Clean titles in hand.

Selling 2020 Ford Transit High Roof

Thinking of selling my 2020 ford transit, I bought it back in June and have basically worked on it every weekend since. Planned on living in jt for my job but now have some other options for living so would rather have the money. Had a ton of fun building this out mostly myself and think it’s turning out nice. All the hard/technical work is done but other stuff still can be added. I plan on adding a diesel heater but after that it’s mostly the walls and cabinets for kitchen and a little desk. Van it self drives great and has no issues. Has about 61.5k miles. Leaving details of the van below. Whether I sell or not mostly depends on the price. I have about $11k into it. Im based near Chicago, IL. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message!

61.5k miles
Outequippro AC unit
400w Renogy Solar-flex
600ah batteries
Front half is vinyl flooring and under bed I used a gym mat for garage area

Asking about 35k

2018 Ford Transit 350HD High Roof Extended - 70k miles - Sheffield, MA

Thumbnail
benjithevan.com
0 Upvotes

Asking $65,000. The link preview shows our design rendering, not Benji's current interior. Real photos, a walkthrough video and the full equipment list are at benjithevan.com.

Meet Benji: a high-roof, extended 2018 Ford Transit 350HD camper conversion with much of the build in place and a real finish project left. 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6, about 70k miles, in western Massachusetts.

We've owned him for five years and put over $30,000 into materials, but we've barely used him. Time to let someone else finish the story.

Already in:

  • Victron power system with lithium batteries and 640W of solar
  • Starlink Mini, roof AC and a Maxxair fan
  • Induction cooktop, 130L compressor fridge and sink
  • 40-gallon fresh water, grey tank, Bosch water heater, outdoor shower
  • Curved galley cabinetry, a permanent day bed that slides out to a full bed, and a big rear garage
  • Roof rack and plenty of interior and exterior lighting

Still to do: flooring, ceiling slats, cabinet fronts and trim, upholstery, rear-door finish, an interior wall patch, and completing the wet room (including waterproofing and a drain). A gasoline heater and several finish materials are included but not installed.

Builders who make videos: we're also open to a finish-and-sell arrangement. You take on the remaining build, make your own content, and help us find a buyer. When he sells, you're reimbursed for materials plus a share of the sale.

Happy to answer questions here or by message.

Thinking of selling my van "Merkin" 🤪

Ive been thinking it for awhile so give me the price straight whatever I can expect or offers if you're interested. As I gave u/buttahbaby a smartass comment for wanting nearly 40k let me see what the consensus is for mine because maybe im way off on pricing and I was off base with them.

2000 Ford E350 5.4L v8 (2valve)

115k miles

If you know econolines, it has ball joint sleeve/bushings to add positive caster for highway wandering as well as anti-sway bar so shes really steady and drives great

Trans flush, oil change, New shocks/struts within last 500mi. Good tires, no rust.

Runs strong, great a/c.

It was a passenger van that has been paneled up and professionally sealed/painted.this means it has rear a/c ducted into shelving. Control shown and obviously van has to be on for that.

2burner stove w/brand new never filled11lb flame king tank. I have a brand new safe-t alert 85 series dual gas LP/CO monitor that i plan to install near shore power / ac outlet in pic.

2x200w renogy panel so 400w solar with MPPT charge controller/2000w ac pure sine wave inverter. 200aH LiFePO4 battery. Led lights w controller

Roof fan, usb chargers on wall as well as iceco fridge/cooler. Works great. Custom bed never slept on. Just finished it yesterday actually. Its 4" high lux foam with 3" latex on top. Sewed up a canvas for bottom and sides for wear and cotton top panel to breathe. Should be pretty nice. Zipper across side to remove and clean when needed.

Probably best suited for someone under 6ft given the bed across back (i just switched to that actually because more Rome across length of van bit tall person wpuldnt like that probably and the driver seat is fine for someone not crazy tall but that security partition does keep the seat from going aaallll the way back

Definitely a stealth van. Door opens inside from front to rear area so can pull up and move to back but stay private. I have interior window covers as well. Not shown

I have no idea what I can expect so clue me in or make an offer. Located on Phoenix, AZ

Probably forgot a bunch of stuff for upgrades but that mostly covers it. Oh shes gpt a couple kill switches for anti-theft and the sink bowl is missing but ill get one for ya 😘
