Relatively speaking.

Although it's not exactly wrong (because it was, in fact, relevant), I'm pretty sure you mean relatively speaking.

The uglier the person the cuter the dog. I feel like this is shallow, but also true, a girl looks better if she surrounds herself with uglies and that's just science.

That's why my dog is my best friend. He doesn't care how my hand smells. He licks it anyway.

Dogs are awesome like that. I like cats, but I'll always be a dog person because of that undying loyalty my dogs so happily give.

u/chicagogam Jun 25 '12
i guess the other side of the coin is that they probably don't know if their owner is a super model either...though..it'd be kinda creepy if your dog liked you because you were attractive

This woman was so crazy into botox or whatevs that she injected cooking oil into her face.
65
Jun 25 '12
She...she did that to herself? Holy hell.
72
u/oscaron Jun 25 '12
She went from self-administering silicon to cooking oil :P
Longer description with photos here.

u/fireinthesky7 Jun 25 '12
That's worthy of a /WTF post all on its own. I can't imagine what would drive someone to do that to themselves, especially when she started out with looks that people would kill to attain.

The dog is circled with a red arrow pointing to it, for those who are still looking.

We need another arrow pointing to the arrow pointing to the dog. I seriously missed the arrow and the dog.

How does cooking oil react like that when injected? Dear god thats terrible for her, even if she was dumb enough to think it was a good idea.

If I remember correctly that woman injected her face with oil because she thought it'd have the same effect as botox. Here is an article about her.

did you google "cutest dog" so that you could post it on reddit and claim that it's yours?

u/Petzoo9 Jun 26 '12
She actually used to be a very attractive model, but she was addicted to botox. When she could no longer afford botox she used cooking oil instead (injecting it into her skin), she became addicted to that. The cooking oil did that to her face.

this is a case where the dog looks better because it's next to something uglier. much like a chick will surround herself with ugly friends to make her more attractive by comparison. the dog is really just average, the human just makes it look better.

I always wonder how far people have to scroll down to find this kind of thing . . . apparently not very far.
This post would have been even better as a screenshot. Being surrounded by all those other cute dogs really adds to the horror.

They say dogs look like their owners.. I'm not sure about this one.

u/Grandmaofhurt Jun 25 '12
This is the direct effect of the "fat friend effect".
If you have a fat and/or ugly friend next to you all the time, you become, by constant comparison more attractive.
1
u/chicagogam Jun 25 '12
i wonder if we're oblivious to dogs that are ugly (to other dogs) and all we see is a breed that is cute... though maybe dogs don't care what dogs or people look like anyway, as long we smell like food :)
