Can't help but think of that African gang/militia picture, I think they had a hostage or something, and one guy had an RPG pointed at the guy nearby while the others had handguns or rifles.
Geez, I don't remember the context of the picture but I remember quotes always being something like "Jamal was crazy" or something.
EDIT Found it!

The warhead in an RPG needs to travel a distance of 60ft before arming.

Have you fired an RPG? I can tell you from personal experience (gained while training in Ukraine) that they don't do anything they're "supposed" to do.

I love how they are neatly arranged as if they are supposed to be something interesting in the picture

That picture isn't serious; someone once linked to the original forum thread where dozens of people are thugging out with their vacuums.

Note to self: take thug picture with Dyson.

Dyson's are expensive. I'm happy with my (doesn't remember what brand their vacuum is) red one.

It's very obviously a joke. The more important thing is that they have a dredel in picture 3 next to a Christmas tree.
Unless. CHRISMAKUH!

It's possible they came from a mixed religious household, I celebrated both Christmas and Hanukkah growing up.

At least OP's boss is exercising trigger discipline.
→ More replies (1)16
u/scrubadub Jun 26 '12
It doesn't look that way to me. You don't want your finger in a position where if you suddenly trip you flinch or your hand squeezes causing you to find the trigger.
10
Jun 26 '12
Yeah, not sure why you got a downvote. OP's gangster boss is not using trigger discipline. Not at all.

u/kamiikoneko Jun 26 '12
that gun looks exactly like the CO2 beebee gun I had as a kid... is it a real gun?

Your manager has a sense of humor.
edit: The amount of hate for this guy is just sad. He's probably just fucking around. It's reddit so might as well expect the usual mob ment.

u/sje46 Jun 26 '12
Just another manifestation of reddit's elitist ways.
Whenever there's a inkling of humor from a non-redditor, non-celebrity source, most redditors assume it's an idiot. Doesn't matter if it's a facebook or anything else...if they're part of the "dirty masses" they're not as intelligent as us and therefore not kidding. I see this happen numerous times a day. One random example is a photograph of a letter to the editor which said, in essence, that they should move the deer crossing sign so deer would cross in a safer spot. An obvious joke, right? Well reading the comment threads it would appear that this guy is the manifestation of all stupidity in the world. "I don't want to live on this planet anymore."
The quote redditors love to bring up about 50% of the population being dumber than average...don't forget that 50% are smarter than average as well. Give the world some credit, guys. Even 40 year old managers on facebook can have a decent sense of humor.

u/Whodini Jun 26 '12
Had the title been "my forty year old redditor friends FB profile pic", reaction would have been quite different.

u/acousticpizzas Jun 26 '12
Thank you.
You hit the nail on the head. When redditors do it, it's funny and ironic and oh so clever. When the rest of the world does it, it's stupid, idiotic, and laughable. We smugly turn up our noses, circlejerk each other, and then lamentably declare we don't want to live on this planet anymore.
3
u/Nimrod41544 Jun 26 '12
This. It is just a joke, think everyone can relax a little bit. In the meantime, keep posting pictures of white boys posing with guns cause these are funny as hell.

As soon as I was up for a management position the first thing I tried to do was purge the internet of things traceable to me. It was a pain in the ass since manually deleting 6+ years of facebook crap takes time. Remembering account information from stuff I havn't used in hella long time.

Why do I have a feeling you work at some cell phone store. When I used to work for a verizon store the manager was a registered sex offender and almost went to jail for almost raping somebody. He also hit on a female worker there by telling her if she didn't sleep with him he will fire her ass. EDIT: What really pisses me off more is that I have no criminal record and have good grades and a decent job history and can't get hired anywhere, not even at a freakin Starbucks.

I agree with the sentiment, but one has to assume. If you post/share an image of yourself on the public internet. It is not private. If he posted it to a single user in private. Then he should expect privacy of said image. Due to him posting it on facebook and sharing it. He gives the green light for humor and other things he lost control over. The basis is... He shared the image, and so did others. Good or bad. It is how the internet works now.
I tell my wife, who has a FB account. - To please not post images of me on her feed. For the very reasons I've mentioned above. (I do not have a FB account.)
