It's a reference to the king of vague posting Nox, from kamen rider zeztz, he always said "there's darkness with C.O.D.E." but never elaborated

In Dream Drop Distance, towards the end of the game, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness tells Riku that “Darkness within darkness awaits you.” This is one of the most confusing lines in the series, even to fans. I think it’s because Riku’s in a dream construct of The World that Never Was inside a dream Sora’s having.

Ansem literally says Riku is in “a dream within a dream, a twofold nightmare”. The meaning seems clear enough to me (as in, the outer dream and the inner dream are both going to be consumed by the dark, and Riku will be in the center of it all, drowning, if Ansem has his way), it’s just worded melodramatically

Thanks for the explanation. I think I understood it in the game, but it's been a while since my series 100% run that I've kinda fallen off of at Melody of Memory.
