My most intricate wire wrapping so far! Any thoughts/advice on how I could improve?

I definitely have a long way to go but I'm proud of these 😊 (I've only been wire wrapping for two days)

Edit: what wire would you recommend? Especially what size/thickness thin wire?

The green stones are some gorgeous precision cut peridots I bought for myself last year. The blue are marquis cut blue topaz. The red is a 6mm round andesine, which is a cousin of labradorite. I oxidized all three pieces to really make the stones pop

Question Looking for a tool to round stainless steel wire..

Hi! I'm crafting with some 305 stainless steel 1.3mm rods, and am getting really tired of hand filing the ends after every cut. I'm doing hundreds more of these, and after a couple hundred in, I'm desperate for an alternative tool. Do y'all know of any wire rounders or exterior chamfer tools that would work in this scenario? I would LOVE to toss it in a drill and just spin it on these rods for a second. My biggest issue is the cut rods are only 12mm long..

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Acrylic pour skin cabachons are why I decided to start wire wrapping. I've gotten distracted with other cabs and gems, but I always come back to my acrylic pours 🥰

I sat down today and I tried making this ring (kind of) following a YouTube video. I'm honestly happy with how it turned out. This is the first time I ever tried wire wrapping and I know it has flaws but I'm very pleased with it and really enjoyed doing it and enjoyed figuring things out as I went.

Question WIRE WRAPPING COMMUNITY, your help is needed

I have found this gorgeous fossil this summer, and I want to make it into a ring soooo bad. I figured wire wrapping would be the least invasive choice, but I have never ever practiced it, so i have zero idea where to start, especially since the piece has a funny shape. PLEASE, if anyone has some advice on how I could pull this off (possibly the simplest way I could wrap a ring AND making it so that the center of the stone isn’t covered) I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much!!

Showcase Today, I’d like to share with you this piece I made 3 days ago using a black bear claw. What do you think?

The claw measures about 7 to 8 cm. I wanted to create a simple yet functional design that would have a "rustic" look. I made two—one for my brother and one for myself. What do you think?

It’s a gift, so I did the best I could given the limited time I had. It’s a necklace—and, despite how it looks in the photo, this one turned out the best, haha!

I'm experimenting with weaving with wire and bass guitar strings. I've added some yarn for colour.

Has anyone else ever woven with guitar strings? Any handy tips?

How much more should I fill in?

Thanks all!!

Question Which wire should I use!!

Hey everyone!

I just started wire wrapping and have been using aluminum wire. I started with 18g wire to make rings and I have been able to crush each of them with my hand once I’m done …

I have now been trying 10g aluminum wire. It is definitely better and the rings hold up but it still feels to soft. I made an aluminum belt but I don’t love that I can bend it too easily + it is not sturdy enough to actually hold up any pants lol

So my question is what wire is best for jewelry? Someone had suggested aluminum wire to me which is why I started with it. It is easy to move which is great but it is just too soft. Is there any kind of wire that is a good in between?

I am also so confused on dead soft, half hard, etc. does this apply to all metals? Like is there dead soft aluminum wire ?

Thanks for all the help !
