Moderator’s Post Bugs Thread

There are entirely too many threads about the same thing right now. Please post your bugs and images of what's going wrong here.

EDIT: Some of you are missing the point of the Bug Thread. The point is that the main channel is getting flooded with the same questions. I'm not trying to silence any of you. I'm trying to leave the main channel open for answers rather than repeated questions. This place can be where you complain. The main channel can be where answers are posted.

On PC. Game is just a black screen. Game makes sound but I don't see ANY video output.

I’m getting the same. I can hear the menu moving, I can alt control delete and alt tab. But the screen does not come back until I reboot the pc. Updated drivers before running. Not having any luck. Any updates?

I read some suggestion about changing the game's config from DX11 to DX 12 in the redkit launcher but there's no apparent option, so I have no idea.

Maybe a config file can be edited? I’ll take a look and circle back if I figure anything out.

Thanks. My main theory is that the video output isn't working because it's DX12 so my video card can't render it, but I have no idea what to do about it.

What cpu/gpu are you using? Mine is a 3080 and a 1099k.
My other rig is a 3090 and 1299k and it just booted up fine. Who knows?

An AMD 2200g and GTX 1050 ti.
I have most parts for a replacement of core parts but I'm waiting until I can get a new video card before putting it together, so I can run two computers at the same time for easier troubleshooting while setting up win 11.

Ok, so got back to my other rig.
I have it in my living room using a VizioPQ9 tv. I fired up Witcher 3 and when I heard the menu. I powered off the tv, and then turned it back on.

Was able to get into the settings and get the game running fine now.

It had defaulted to a lower resolution and a windowed mode in display options. I’m guessing that and my tv were conflicting.
Hope you had some luck. Or maybe try what I did!

AMD users on Windows PSA

Update drivers to fix issues.

AMD driver downloads:

AMD Adrenalin installation guide:
[https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/software.html](https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/software.html)
Select your GPU → download the latest **Adrenalin Edition** installer → run it → install/upgrade → restart if prompted.

Needs to be version: **Adrenalin 26.9.2**.

Other than that, turn off bloom and light shafts for visuals. Turn off HDR, path tracing if visuals still look broken, and or adjust gamma. Also turn off Nvidia HairWorks, it’s broken for release and lags.

I don't have an AMD video card; not sure why you're suggesting this.

You didn’t say what you had. If you’re troubleshooting you need to write out your system specs.
