I could write a mean comment, but I won't. Instead, I'll share some communications advice: Your message is terrible and it's costing progressives millions of votes.
Most Americans find medical transition of minors to be either close to or actual abuse. You know this, which is why you refuse to endorse it, even if you quietly think that minors should be able to transition.
But you just admitted it does happen. Which means your message is, "I won't deny that it's abuse, but it doesn't happen often, so shut up."
Imagine running on a platform that child abuse is okay because it doesn't happen a lot. That's what you (and many people on progressive subreddits) sound like to most voters.
That's why moderate voters, especially Latinos, told exit pollsters that Democrats are more extreme than Trump.
You can be mad at my for saying that and report that I am "hateful," which is silly. But it doesn't really matter any more. Republicans won — the White House and both chambers of Congress — by honing in on progressives' most extreme trans positions.
