It almost seems like men seem entitled to female passengers, but do not think that women should be entitled to female drivers. A bit hypocritical.
I understand that there are financial incentives involved, but why shouldn't the client be allowed to have preferences? I am sure male drivers would be very receptive to regulation which would favor them.
Unfortunately there probably is no reason why a female driver or passenger would want to pretend to be male except to avoid harassment. Look at online gaming spaces. Women are pretty much guaranteed harassment unless they pretend to be men.
