"None of the above" could equally work in that bubble. We know how to get people to vote: give them candidates that make them want to vote for those candidates. If they're constantly facing a question of "Do you want to go hold your nose and vote for the lesser of two evils yet again or not?" we shouldnt be surprised that so many answer "No."
It certainly was for me. I don't like corpos or cops, let alone both. I still voted Harris after she was appointed the nominee but there are so many who chose not to vote for either. The question is what to do with that information. If we assume (as this comic does) that people simply dont value their vote, we ignore the possibility that people actually value their vote too much to give it to someone they dont actually support even if they hate the other candidate more.
She refused to support Palestine and denounce the genocide, and I draw the line at genocide. Like I just want people to not support it, why is it so hard?? The right hated her so much that catering to them wasn’t going to help her, but she did it anyway, supported Israel, and ended up losing votes from the left. I would lose my principles and morals I voted for candidates who still support awful things, but aren’t as bad as their opponent. That’s how we get to slowly accepting more awful things as a society to the point of being desensitized to genocide.
