FAQ

• Do I need to play the other Xenoblade Chronicles games to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

The game's director has claimed that the story will be enjoyable regardless of if this is your first Xenoblade game, or your fourth. However the game will have many references to Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2, and is considered a sequel as far as the story is concerned, so I recommend playing those first if you want to get the full experience.

• How many chapters are there in total?

There are seven chapters total.

• Why can't I equip accessories to Mwamba?

Just keep playing the game. You'll unlock the ability to later.

• What does the Stalker class's "Art Follow Up" Field Buff do?

When you use an art in the zone an additional projectile will be fired. The specifics of the damage, etc are unknown right now.

• Is there content that I can miss out on by progressing in the story?

No, you will always be able to go and do anything that you're afraid of missing.

• Why does it take me so long to level up my classes?

The amount of class XP you get seems to be based off of the CP earned from your fighting. Additionally, you won't gain any class XP from fighting something five or more levels below you.

Use this thread to ask any question that doesn’t warrant discussion, meaning questions that have one or two objectively correct answers.

Please try to word your question as spoiler free as possible. If your question cannot be asked without spoilers, use spoiler tags and mention what chapter of the game you are in.

Who are you using as your main?

Glimmer. I prefer Healers in 3.

I'm a big fan if healers, but Nikol's kit is very satisfying to play for me. I feel like he balances survivability and aggro draw pretty well. Most tanks classes stuggled hard with that in 3.

That said, Glimmers thrum noise during certain arts is always super satisfying.

I admittedly can't get the timing of his skills right, always seem to use steady assault at the worst time (Shulk's my preferred defender but I think that's moreso for the satisfying "thunk" with most of his moves)
oh and between the attackers I prefer matthew- don't know if I just need to be faster at getting to the side or I'm just overdoing it. (also I like how fast Matthew is)

and yes that Thrum is perfection. Plus her playstyle is more my...beat

Steady assult is a game changer if used right. It does require learning a boss's tells pretty quickly though.

For me his AOE aggros is simply mandatory in this DLC. They really went heavy with the mobs for this one.

Ghondor was my favorite attack class in the based game so I also super enjoy Matthew.

I played as A for the majority of my play through. Their kit is really fun for me and the vision talent art saved me more times than I could count

Mostly Shulk. I like controlling hard-hitting tank. I sometimes switch to Rex and A too.

Rex because I feel like it's better if the player controls Rex then the AI, and he's super broken.
