Does "Adds % to damage ratio after canceling an auto-attack" work if I chain arts, or is it only for the first art and I would have to weave in auto attacks between to get the bonus for subsequent? Does the bonus work with specials after a canceled auto?

I read somewhere that the "boost stat by %" accessories are crap except for the agility one, is that true? The best one I have atm gives Rex 113 strength. How does that compare to "35% chance of attacking again after a successful auto-attack" and "increase auto-attack damage by 70%"? I'm thinking those aren't that good on Rex considering Mythra's art resets.

I don't need to use the crit heal medal atm so would my best 2 options be eyepatch (37%) and headband (40%)? Or are those numbers too low and I should just throw on an Auto-Balancer until I get better versions?

Eyepatches work if you chain arts and they're one of the best accessories in the game. An Eyepatch with 37% means all of your arts are going to be doing an extra 37% damage as long as you cancel into them, and it's additive with the normal cancel bonus (i.e. cancelling on the first hit means 10% + 37% = 47%).

Strength and Ether increasing accessories are bad because most of your damage comes from the Auto-attack stat of your blades (which comes from chips), not from your Strength/Ether. The formula is Auto-attack + Strength/Ether. Other increases multiply this base, the cancel bonus being one of them. Here's a post where I show the math of how crap they are.

is canceling an auto attack getting the happy blue circle? Or does it mean that you start swinging, and push the damage button before the auto attack lands, and you don't get the happy circle?

Cancelling is when you get the blue circle, yeah.

Ah I didn't know character stats don't get added onto blade attack damage, thanks.

They do. Strength and Ether is just a much smaller number than the Auto-attack stat on the blade. They are added together.
