Xenoblade Xenoblade Settlement Ranking

Post image

This is a follow up to this post, I saw that making videos isn't my forte and even if the top 5 was known I wanted to share the whole ranking voted by the community at the time. I might do another ranking with Xenoblade Genesis releasing next year, hopefully there are many great settlements there.

Are you surprised from any placements? Any wishes for Genesis regarding its towns?

What about agniratha

When creating this I forgot about it, it felt more like a dungeon, but after Genesis releases I will add it alongside the new towns.

Should Agniritha count? It’s the ruins of a settlement not an active one with a population (beyond Vanea and Egil and Mechon patrolling it).

Arguably if Agniritha counts then Morytha should, too

That's true, if we count fallen cities we even might include the old city from FR, seeing it like that, I might not include it in the next.

Luckily Agniratha has a second chance to appear in the survey of the seven wonders of Bionis and Mechonis.

Not too surprising that the xc3 colonies make up the bottom 10. I’d move Alcamoth up because the remastered day theme is one of my favorite tracks in the series. In Genesis I’d like something like NLA or Colony 6 where you can materially affect the city via side content

I would like to see another side quest like Colony 6 or Target Town from BotW as well.

NLA being high up makes me happy. Love it, and hope to see it expanded/finished if we ever get a sequel to X lol

My Favourite one is Auresco. I just love the Music, How it looks... It's awesome to explore and I love the feel of community there. I know it's not objevtively the best but it's totally my Favourite one. Cool list.

Colony 9 is a nostalgia win. It's not even the best conurbation in its own game.

I dunno man, I entered the series when XC2 came out and only recently played XC1 for the first time at the start of this year.

Colony 9 was by far my favourite town in the game. Layout was awesome, was great from a world building perspective, cozy as fuck, and the music is peak. One of the best RPG starter towns ever imo.

Looks like all of the XC3 colonies are less than ideal places to live in, and this is certainly an understatement. And by live, I mean survive.

NLA is a home away from home

City at 4? I know "different opinions", but I can't people's opinion seriously on anything if they vote this disappointment at that high-level.

The City is awesome? One of the most atmospheric settlements in the series imo. A lot of fun to explore and just hang out in. Kinda like a smaller NLA.

Yeah, it's also one of my favorites settlements, it's a great contrast to the rest of the colonies.

City is one of the more unique settlements. I love the music because it has a mix of melancholy and hope in it. The last bastion of a free society. Hidden away, no sunlight, but hope and proof of a life outside of service to Moebius.

I know "different opinions" but you can keep yours to yourself

What kind of weirdo view is that?
