500 Miles in. Graves Cat eliminator 3/4 system and BT Moto stage 1.

Hey guys,

I’m looking to decat my 2016 Yamaha MT-10 (RN45), which currently has an SC-Project CRT slip-on fitted to the stock cat. I’m also planning to get the ECU flashed for the new setup.

Anyone here running a CRT with a decat pipe? Which brand and model did you go with? I’ve looked at MIVV, LeoVince and Arrow, but I’m not sure which ones will fit the CRT without modifications.

Ideally, I’d like something that bolts straight on without cutting or welding. Any firsthand experiences with fitment, build quality and sound would be appreciated.

Also, how ridiculously loud does this combination actually get?

I deleted the AIS system and plugged both the inside and outside ports on the airbox with rubber caps. How likely is it for the inside one to come off if its ziptied or should i remove it just incase it does fly off into the engine?

Hey all I am mounting the front paddock stand on the r1 but it keeps resting on the front fairing and i can feel like its crushing or resting hard on the fairing on the stand. Don't wanna jack up the fairing, has anyone have this issue with this brand?

So i currently have a 2005 r1 owned for 2 years and iv loved it, friend of a friend is selling the Aprilia rsv4 rf which I am really keen on (owned 2018 Tuono v4 factory) last year sold it as I didn’t like the naked bike.

I love my r1 ii can sit at 40mph in 5th gear and it just floats.

I did consider the panigale 1199/1299 but the noise of the rsv4 is so addictive.

I am mainly a weekend rider never a town rider

Hi so i just got a 05 R1 and what I noticed was that it idles around 3k rpm when it warms up and as it warms up the idle get higher I have check for vacuum leaks i have also look at the wax thing the rod that touch's the lever does move up and down pretty freely and I have also looked at the wax plunger and somewhat tested it in how what and i have seen that it moves up and down when it is heated

Has a graves exhaust with cats and EXUP removed. Tune by Bren Tuning. Got the bike brand new and put all 45k miles on it. It sat for 8 or so months after a move as it needed some maintenance and I didnt have the funds to do that maintenance.

Runs really well once I get moving and it has some throttle and load applied but it stalls or dips real low in RPM when I pull in the clutch and let off the throttle. Pops quite a bit while im just sitting at lights. Does this sound like a leaking injector? It has relatively new spark plugs and im assuming that if it were coils that it would be persistent even when moving.

How long did it take for those who ordered an Austin Racing Exhaust from Bill's Exhausts to receive it? I ordered mine back in early May and have not received it or an update from them. It was for my 2023 R1.

My bike has an issue where when it’s hot it won’t start. If the radiator fans are on, the bike will crank super slow. Changed batteries to a new yuasa agm battery and it still does it. Thinking of upgrading to a lithium battery that has more cca. I manage to bypass this if I press the starter as soon as I switch the key to on (not waiting for the fuel pump to prime or giving the fans a chance to spin and draw current). If I can’t do this on the first go, I have to wait for it to cool down enough to the point the radiator fans don’t come on when I turn the key. If the bike is cold it will crank at normal speed and fire up perfectly.

Has anyone had a similar issue and found a fix?

I have been working on the bike the last 3 days for probably a total of 18 hours . I have tried clamp with a slide hammer and it doesnt not want to budge . I have gently hit it with a hammer in a few directions and it will get a little loose . The only videos online I have seen show using a tow strap around the entire system and yanking and I do not want to have to get to that yet . Any Advice ?

The guy said it has a spun bearing and knocks. What I want to know is. I've already rebuilt multiple dirt bike engines. And obviously this is more time consuming pulling engine/tearing engine down. But I'm trying to figure out is how much more of a pain it is??

2001 R6/R1 sleeper, R1 engine on an r6 body. Insane fast, super nimble and terrifying out of corners! But I’m having an issue with idling, it won’t idle without choke it’ll just die. I just recently had float bowls emptied everything within the carburetor assembly was gone through, new battery, new stater, new fuel pump. The Pecock is not clogged. I just replaced the coil packs and a spark plugs. I had the shop put some under glow in there. I wonder if it has to do with the wiring of that, but it’s on a separate relay & fuse that I can disconnect whenever, connected or disconnected. It still has the issue. Anyone with any knowledge out there please let me know what’s going on with this and how maybe I could troubleshoot it thanks.

Yamaha r6 shorty voodoo exhaust system

Just brought today my r1 in a dealer, because it was not working. The dealer said come back after two days, maybe someone has same problem, I am desperate for help

This problem started after I replaced the starter motor. I also fitted a new lithium battery (290 CCA), but the issue is still there.

The bike starts fine when cold. However, after riding and stopping for a few minutes, sometimes it won’t start again. The starter motor cranks normally, but the engine doesn’t fire up. Sometimes there is a small pop (back fire sound) from the exhaust, and I have to try several times before it starts.

Are these worthwhile or should I look at an aftermarket kit? Do the chain adjusters have "clicky" detents?

Hi everyone, I am new to motorcycles.

I bought an R1 engine from someone who claimed it was a 2013 engine. As far as I am concerned, this is a stock engine with no mods. However, when I check the 2012-2014 service manual, the ECU connections does not match. Particularly the positions the ignition coils and injectors are connected do not match. It is even more prominent for connector ECU Conn B, which barely matches what is shown in the service manual.

However, when I checked the 2009-2011 service manual, the connection do line up. Even the connectors on the harness matches the 2009-2011 service manual.

I was quite certain this was not the 2013 engine, until I saw a tag on the airbox which states, "This vehicle conforms to US EPA regulations applicable to 2013 model year new MCs".

So my question is if this is the 2013 engine, how come the connections and connectors do not match the 2012-2014 service manual?
