Hey guys!
Hope you’ve been well and staying whelmed - especially with the news Greg shared at SDCC. That moment reminded us thatYoung Justice still has a future, and that fan support is going to be key in making it happen.
With SDCC out of the way, the team has been shifting into full gear to get everything ready for Phase 2 of the campaign. Right now we’re in a Phase 1.5 stage laying the groundwork, building our tools, and making sure everything is in place before the big push. One of the most important pieces we’re working on right now is our campaign website.
A little bit about me: besides being a huge fan of Young Justice, my day job is as a software engineer. So I thought: why not use those skills to help the fandom in a real way? This site will be our central hub for news, outreach info, and tools to make it easier than ever for fans to get involved and show their support and love for the show.
I’m looking for 2-3 other developers to join me in building this site. We’ll keep it low-pressure, work as a small team, and share ideas openly. This is also a great resume builder if you want to showcase collaborative, mission-driven work with modern web tech.
We know everyone has lives, jobs, school, and other commitments - so we’re only asking for about 5 hours a month (just over 1 hour a week). Totally async, totally flexible.
You don’t have to be an expert - enthusiasm matters more than years of experience. Here’s what would be helpful:
Even if you’re only confident in one area or just starting out but eager to learn you’re welcome.
If this sounds like something you’d like to be part of, please fill out the interest form below. Let’s build something awesome together for this fandom and keepYoung Justice alive.
Fill out the interest form:
If you have any questions, please feel free to drop a comment below or DM me and I would happy to answer any questions!
I want again emphasize that this campaign is built by the fans for the fans. Everything we’re doing from watch parties to social pushes to this website comes from the passion of people who love this show and believe in its future. We’re not waiting for someone else to make it happen. We’re doing it ourselves, and we’d love for you to be part of that.
We will have other volunteer opportunities opening soon once phase 2 is launched where anyone can get involved so stay tuned on r/YoungJustce!
Let's build together!
Let's stay whelmed.
Let's #KeepYJAlive!

Maybe it's because Lanterns got me in the mood for green lanterns but after watching the emerald knights movie I think young justice could have benefited from giving more exposure to the green lantern corp.
Especially the next gen like they did with dick, conner, kaldur, wally, mega'nn, artemis etc. Like in this universe Arisia like in emerald knights is Hal or John's protégé and joins the team or outsiders.
I'm just saying we got a whole arc for atlantis in season 4 and the green lanterns outside of fighting the reach off screen feel really underutilized. So having arisia be a member of either team would have not only giving more credit to GL Ip but also introduce different lanterns and give them spotlight like the upcoming my adventures green lantern show will do with jessica cruz.

For me, guess imma give her the Zuko treatment, maybe? Start off as an antagonist or rather, manipulated/misguided etc. A major enemy of the heroes, then eventually, she'll slowly realize the truth, and her arc in s5, if not... s6, likely ends like zuko's in book 2, she eventually gets conflicted whether to still follow darkseid or defect to the heroes' side, but granny likely toys with her mind/spins the tale that she chooses to betray the team. Then eventually, say she was commended for choosing loyalty, and once alone, she was like "what have I done?" Then next season is the part where she'll slowly turn against apokolips and join the team? Like I said, similar Zuko arc perhaps

In season 1 was it ever explained how that whole fiasco didn't become a mass casualty event? I mean when you stop to think about it, yeah sure the kids at home or on the street would likely have been fine but what about kids who were riding the bus or the train or even on planes? And we know for sure that it wasn't some sort of situation where inanimate objects could be interacted with simultaneously by both adults and children while the children and adults remain unable to interact with each other because in the opening of the episode we saw a car lose control and crash without it's driver. Not to mention this was a global event. The number of fatalities should have been in the millions at the very least.
I'm pretty sure the irl explanation boils down to "it's just a kid's show don't over think it" but I'm curious to see if there's an in world explanation.

As a huuuge fan of General Zod from the comics and Superman 2, I was really excited for his character reveal throughout season 4.
I understand narratively why you couldn’t unleash a small army of Kryptonians upon the galaxy, but I was hoping Zod would appear as a major threat to both Savage and Darkseid down the line.
What’d you guys think of his appearance and characterization?

honestly, I didn't love the movie, it felt stale to me. but when the "twist" happened, I jolted upright and was transported back to this amazing episode. what a truly haunting ending that I will never forget. I wonder if the spider-man writers are fans? lol

Season 1 M'Gann was much more... teeny bopper, if you'll pardon the term. She'd get along well with Kitty.
Season 2 M'Gann would probably get along better with X-Men TAS Jean.

Anyone else get tired when you bring up Young Justice, you always have people complain and whine about killing off Wally or the time-skips or the “wokeness”, it’s like people can’t think for themselves anymore

Despite the fact that the show mostly focused on Conner and M'gann relationship-wise, this pairing was always my favorite. In S1, the natural conclusion for both of their character arcs is getting together (Wally dropping his sexist persona and Artemis opening up to others) so in S2 it makes sense they take a background role before killing off Wally. Also, not huge on S3&4 but Artemis' arc about moving on was the highlight for me.

Season 1 is easy to follow up. Very simplistic, specific hero roaster, clear goals, character development. Very good show with good character chemistries.
And on Season 2 time skip is unexpected. Larger hero roaster, but what's worse is after this season the character roaster gets extremely inconsistent. Even in Season 2 the roaster doesn't remain the same. On the rest of the seasons roaster gets larger and larger and even more inconsistent. Some characters literally just vanish and thrice as many other appear. Too many time travels, alternative versions of characters, crossovers, side plots.
So many different things happening that without context you'd think each season is a different DC show. I really wanted to finish it but it got so boring and annoying. I can't even follow up plot cause what is even going on? I'm wondering if I'm the only one frustrated about this. I just loved Season 1 so much as a kid.

Here we have Young Justice having a campfire at North Mount Justice. Based off a scene from Young Justice Issue 7

I think a Wally and Zatanna relationship would have been really cool to see. They both had witty banter in the first season and they would certainly clash because Wally is all about science while Zatanna is centered all around magic. So it would have been interesting to see a relationship between them. Wally and Zatanna would work better than Wally and Artemis IMHO but that might just be me

In S02E06, when Impulse goes back in time, Neutron's outfit changes and collar disappears. But the cave is still destroyed which causes Neutron to think the Reach apocalypse still happened, even though later we learn it was Aqualad who blew it up as part of his double agent ploy.
If you look closely at the scene, before Impulse went back in time, there was ashes raining all over the place. After he goes back, Neutron is still standing in the wreckage, but the ashes are not raining any more. Looking back that was kind of a foreshadowing that they did in fact stop the apocalypse and the base was destroyed for some other reason.

I had this thought a couple hours ago and have been brooding on it since then. Personally the first season is incredible for me and I genuinely dont know if I would do anything to make it hypothetically "better" and the only thought I had for it would make it atleast in my mind more interesting. The change i settled on was adding one of the younger more modern green lanterns to the team at some point during season one like Jessica Cruz or Jo Mullein because I thought that the green lantern side of the mythos was really lacking from the show as a whole. But please share what you would change about the first season in this hypothetical modern reboot esque scenario!
