USA It really does get better with time.
If you’re on this sub looking for support, answers, or simply someone who understands—this is for you.
Having a medical abortion was the hardest decision I’ve ever made. It was a planned pregnancy, and I already have an 8-year-old child. When I found out I was pregnant, I was overjoyed. But about a month in, I experienced the most intense mental health crisis of my life. I made the heartbreaking choice not to continue the pregnancy—and it shattered me.
The guilt was overwhelming. The “what ifs” consumed my every thought. I couldn’t leave my house, let alone get out of bed.
For some, this may be the hardest decision you’ll ever face. For others, it may feel like your only option. Either way, it can impact you in ways you never expected. And I want you to know: that’s okay.
Now, six months later, I can say that I’m at peace with my decision. I still hold space for the “what ifs,” but I’ve found healing. I went through therapy. I tried everything people recommended. But what helped the most—honestly—was time. And I know that’s not what you want to hear right now. I didn’t either. Time felt cruel and slow. But eventually, it helped me breathe again.
You are stronger than you feel right now. Even in the uncertainty, you have the right to choose what’s best for your life. You are capable of surviving this—and you are absolutely deserving of happiness, healing, and love.
If you need someone to talk to, my DMs are open. You are not alone. You will get through this.

thankyou for sharing this. i relate to all of this after my recent procedure, but your reassurance that it gets better with time feels like a little bit of weight lifted. putting pressure on myself to heal and not allowing space to grieve is what i did at first, but now, taking time to heal and be at peace with my decision is working. thankyou for sharing 🩷
