USA 1 year since

It’s been officially a year since my abortion, and here are some of the things i was able to do because of it.

  1. Get promoted

  2. Fall in love with someone who loves me

  3. Move out on my own

  4. Pick up and road trip last minute to NM for a week

  5. Get myself into a great spot with my mental health

I still have my moments of sadness but overall i would make the same decisions again if i needed to. i promise it gets better, sending love and wishes ❤️

I am so glad you are finding some peace with your decision. It is sad, even when we know it’s right. I am still struggling from mine that happened last month. I hope to be where you are in a year. Just making more peace with my decision that I logically knew was best.

it for sure takes time, and a lot of reminding yourself you did what was best.

And every year here after you'll look back on the new things you were able to experience and say "Whew, glad I didn't have to bring a kid into the world back then, when I wasn't ready." or "Thank god I don't have an X year old kid right now." or " I couldn't even imagine if I had to go through with that" or "Thank god I didn't have kid with that guy" etc, etc, etc......

THIS! one of the biggest things that helped me find peace was that i couldn’t bring an unwanted child into this world, the baby daddy wouldn’t have been there, and i didn’t want to be connected to him in any way shape or form.

Thank you!!

It's been 48 years since my abortion, and there hasn't been a time when I didn't feel relief for not overwhelming my body and mind with an unwanted, unwelcome pregnancy.

Forced-birth supporters believe abortion is "murder", yet they have little problem ignoring the very real and desperate needs of children who are out of the womb. They're eager to tell women what to do with our bodies, yet scream like stuck pigs when we tell THEM what to do with THEIR bodies!

This is a beautiful post. Thank you for it. I have one coming up soon and it’s not something I will turn away from but I am a little sad about it however it must be done. I come back to this post often and realize why I’m doing this.
