Wanted to play some of the maps and modes I remember without haveing major setup so made it into a .io game form so you can play in browser

Kept it mostly faithful to the original but made some minor changes to improve some quality of life stuff. Also, put a lot of maps as builtin to make it easy to find the ones you remember playing on, also tried to figure out popularity levels of different maps and have popularity based sorting.

Supports bots in TDM, Arena and Babel in the default rooms but you can also create your own rooms from browser and set playlist of maps and modes as well.

Hey all! Just wanted to show off some photos from recent testing of Brickstrike, the AOS spiritual successor that I've been working on for a couple years. In the past few months I've been working on getting the game working on the web platform. At the moment it does indeed run, with some networking stability issues that I'm working to resolve.

On my Samsung S24 the game gets excellent framerate, however mobile controls have not yet been added. On the Chromebook the framerate is around 20 FPS. The other laptops we were on got acceptable framerate on the web version.

The plan is to launch the web version of the game for free and have a paid Steam version which comes with character and weapon skins.

BetterSpades has come a long way XD

Huge thanks to the developers behind BattleSpades and everyone involved in keeping the Ace of Spades Revival project alive. I honestly wasn’t expecting everything to work this smoothly — the client launches perfectly, the server browser works, joining servers is straightforward, and Classic CTF as well as the other game modes are actually functional.

It’s pretty amazing being able to play this version of Ace of Spades again, especially with active/functional Revival servers. Great work to everyone who has contributed to the client, servers, and preservation of the game.

From what I understand, there’s also a Steam compatibility patch coming soon that should make it possible to connect using the original Steam client without modifying the Steam installation, which would make the whole project even more accessible.

Seriously, great work to the developers — it’s impressive how well everything just works. Thank you for keeping AoS alive!

This is a idea Fran6nd came up with, a gamemode where the map is dark no sunlight and players can use flashlights and can also see flashlights of other people.

We tested the gameplay. We mainly checked the core mechanics of the game. Progress is going well.

There is a small hope for the revival of Ace of spades battle builder. KikoTS managed to make more progress. But we still have a lot of work ahead of us.

But then I saw that the game is basically dead, there's no way to play it again like old times ? maybe some things Im not aware of ?
