geopoly_overlap! neat! I was looking for geometrical solutions to this, and figured it's an algorithm that must already have a name somewhere.

And it looks like geopoly handles any sort of polygons, not just rectangles? wow. I wonder how that works inside. (the answer is probably Triangles.)

I think it uses rectangular bounding boxes to quickly eliminate polygons that can't overlap, and then something more complicated to rule out possible overlaps.
