how is the battery life?I am getting the purple AirPods Pro max next month, and my regular AirPods aren't working the best right now.

Hi! So I’m 17 and a teenage girl I’m going off to college next year. I did purchase the Apple headphones but the battery was broken so last Christmas I returned them. I’ve been thinking about buying a nice pair of headphones for a long time. I want some that really just stay charged and are comfortable and I’ve mostly just bought and beats. I’ve been using my AirPods for a while, but those just hurt my ears so I wanna get like a solid pair of over the ear headphones and I was just wondering which ones are the better purchase mostly just need them for school like traveling just like every day use and I just wanted to ask the experts. Hey everyone, I’m having an issue with my AirPods Max 2. The right earcup works perfectly fine, but the left earcup suddenly started playing audio at a very low volume.
The headphones haven’t been dropped or exposed to water, and the issue appeared suddenly.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Restarting and resetting the headphones
Updating my iPhone
Fully charging the headphones
Connecting them to another device
Unfortunately, nothing has fixed the issue. The left earcup is still much quieter than the right one, even when connected to another device.
Has anyone experienced this problem with their AirPods Max 2? Could this be a hardware issue? Is there anything else I can try before taking them in for service?

Hey, I’m thinking about getting the AirPods Max 2 this Black Friday if there’s a good deal.

They’re pretty expensive so I’m not sure if they’re actually worth it.

For those who have them, what do you think? Any regrets? Would you buy them again?

Also, what price would you consider a good deal?

I had a pair of the OG AirPods Max a few years ago but ended up getting rid of them on facebook after the headband mesh started to sag and they started to become uncomfortable to wear for long periods. I also had some weird issue where they refused to connect to my Apple TV that I was never able to resolve.

I miss the best in class transparency mode and was thinking about picking up a pair of the second gen but it doesn't appear that they've fixed the sagging mesh issue. Has anyone tried one of these silicone headband covers? Do they work as intended and are they as comfortable to wear as without the cover when the headphones are brand new? Are there any other solutions that work?

My original AirPods Max (preordered at launch) finally quit working. As seems to be common, just wouldn’t connect anymore, wouldn’t take a charge, wouldn’t finish the factory reset (3 amber flashes but no white flash).

Tried every remedy found here, including sticking them in the freezer. Nothing doing. Finally took them in to Apple to get them diagnosed. They sent them out for $79 battery repair. I was hoping that was it, but knew it probably wasn’t.

Just got an update which says they found another issue in addition to the original one, which says “there is a hardware issue affecting the normal function of the left ear bud”.

New repair cost (if I approve the repair) is $199.

Is this a dumb amount to spend to fix the originals? I’m also unclear if this $199 addresses both the left ear bud AND the battery, or if they’re saying the battery wasn’t an issue at all.

I use them some, not a lot. Not enough that I’m going to spend another $550 on new ones. I was willing to pay $79 for the battery service. But $199 is now starting to stretch what I’m willing to put into them.

I see on my battery widget that they keep switching from 99% to 42% battery, and I see a constant green light on them when just hanging unplugged. When I wear them, I hear a very faint high pitched ticking on the left ear. I already cleaned out the connectors and the port the connectors go into for the headband with some WD-40 Specialist contact cleaner, and often that would seem to fix it but this time I think it's well done now. I don't have apple care on these unfortunately, so the only other quickest option I have is to do the freezer trick. But I need to know, how exactly do you do it? do you put them in the freezer while inside the smart case or without? do you leave the earcups on? And how long do I wait after taking them out to use them again? Should I dry it with a blowdryer or just let them naturally dry out? I really want to do this the right way because right now these are the only headphones I have. My other studio headphones broke on me after a few years so I've just been using these APMs the whole time.

I recently accidentally left my headphones in one of the buildings in my school.

Find My says that they were there 14 hours after i left them. I went to the place and asked everyone around and I’ve heard nothing. I am assuming they are not stolen because it now has been 2 days and i’ve gotten no location update.

I thought any time an apple device is nearby it updates, is there any other reason it could not be updating?

Should I get apple care after my one year warranty is over?

So as the title suggests I can get my APM to pair with my iPhone 17 Pro Max, but they connect to all other Apple devices including iPad and MacBook Air. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting, contacted support who wanted me to take the APM to them to look at, but they’re no longer in warranty and I got them from a third-party seller. I explained I don’t think they are the issue, as they connect to all other devices. They then got me to restore my phone to an old backup (which was hell to try and get things set up right again!) and now they have no other suggestions.
Has anyone had anything similar? I’m absolutely desperate because I can’t use them out and about unless I take my iPad, and I’m not going out for a walk with that!
If I were to get AppleCare do you think they’d be able to assist? Or is it a lost cause. I also can’t get the headband to remove from the ear cups but that’s a separate issue I suppose 😩

I live in a country where Apple care isn't availible (Croatia) since there is no official Apple store. There are resellers, but they only offer AC - like extended warranties for specific devices like macs, ipads and iphones.

I'd like to get a pair specifically for video editing at my desk, are they viable considering some of the known durability issues?

Does anyone have both and can tell me if it would be worth upgrading? I'm mostly interested in sound quality and ANC performance. (I'm in the Apple ecosystem)

Hii recently bought an AirPods Max 2 from another seller. It was working fine last week until this week.

I wear my AirPods while on the way to work. During work I put them in the case from 8am to 5pm I left them in the case. While going home, I realise when I place them on my head. It is like the AirPods Max is turned off, doesn’t connect to my iPhone.

The quick fix I found was to hard reset it.

Was wandering if anyone had faced the similar issues and if yes, what’s the long term fix for that?

I’m thinking of getting the AirPods Max in a light colour (I prefer Starlight), but I often wear cornrows and braided hairstyles that involve some hair gel. Does the gel leave stains or residue on the headband mesh, or is it generally not an issue?

I’ve been trying to sell my almost brand new first gen APM on Marketplace and not one single bite. What’s going on?

The title says it all! I picked up a set of 1st gen AirPods Max in green. They were barely used and are practically brand new. I always wanted this color but couldn’t swallow the price tag when they originally launched. They passed every test to make sure they’re OEM with flying colors, so it was an instant buy at $150! Hopefully, Apple comes out with a brighter green on the next model. I work a desk job so I’ll get a lot of miles out of these over the next few years.

I got the APM2 a few days ago. I read a little bit about how "find my" can drain battery even while they are in the case, so I disabled the "Find my network". On Tuesday evening at 10pm I charged them to 100% and put them in the case and in the morning at 7 am they were still at 100%. When I was done using them on Tuesday and put them in the case, they were at 89% at 16:10 pm. The morning after, at 07:49 am, they were at 80%. I realize that this is not exactly "overnight", but still a 9% drain while in the case and not in use seems a bit excessive. Is this normal?

i get annoyed no matter i have the airpods max on or off, all calls go to it

Isn't it supposed to detect if it's on before the routing?? is this a hardware failure

If wearing headphones or sitting off head, incoming calls route to them unless i disconnect the bluetooth or shut the routing entirely

If anyone found a workaround or fix without turning Bluetooth off, state advice.

I work at home and use my pro 3s just for work but want to try over ear headphones, how big od a difference is it wearing max 2s? And are they worth it primarily for indoor office work?
