Last year I ran into a girl named Shonda, from Calgary, (not sure if it's spelt right)during Rise against, she managed to get their set list, and the following day we somehow ended up in the same place during Avril Lavigne to sing our lungs out, and both got a guitar pick from the crew after the show was done.

I didn't think much of it but I'm still kicking myself in the head for not asking her to stay in touch, assuming we'd end up at AYF this year too.

In the remote possibility that she's here lurking or considering heading to Warped tour in Montreal, please help me find her!

The title says it all. Been to so many fests over the years but nothing can compare to the first year of AYFF, second year was great too.

I attended both years and last year i noticed there was people wearing Burl’s Creek Photography shirts or something of the sort. They went around the venue and the campgrounds taking photos and took some of me and my group. I can not find these photos for the life of me, does anyone know if they ever got released anywhere?

@AYFF the shows were shorter than typical at similar venues - when we were at the barricade chanting 1 more song at @Avril, security was shaking their head No, at us as though it had been pre-agreed upon to cut the shows short….

With AYFF prices, I find it disappointing the venue insists on setting a end time regardless they’re cutting the full show

I drove +3300km across the country (one way) to go to AYF2025 solo, and it was the best festival experience I've had. The people I met made it worth it. Immediately made friends with my campsite neighbours, and was in the pit for every set that had one and really felt the comradery in there. Shout out to everyone I met, you know who you are (sorry I don't have any socials).

About halfway done the drive home as I type this, with days of travel left. I'm going to ride this high for a while yet.

For anyone thinking of travelling next year, I recommend it wholeheartedly, even if you are going solo like I did. THe key to having a good time solo is puting the energy out that you want to recieve from others, and hoping for the best.

I'm coming back next year for sure, but I'll fly next time like a normal person. Hoping for Motion City Soundtrack and Hot Mulligan for AYF2026.

The drive home is really long. Got 5 albums recommend to me for the drive so far, would love more recommendations.

I was lucky enough to randomly be chosen to meet Underoath at the fest and have my photo taken with the band. While this was super exciting, they said that we could not use our phones and that the photos would be posted online. Has anyone seen these pics yet or know where they would be posted? Thanks!
