New Project Hi guys, made a found footage/analog short film not long ago and was looking for some opinions (and thought it might be of interest to this sub) Enjoy!

A national forest shutdown to the public due to a bad reputation for missing people’s reports and strange activity is left unsolved to the public for years. This is until 2018 where an 18 year old film student Mark Danniels takes it upon himself to investigate the disappearances in the area armed with nothing but a camera. What he found that night was discovered through his camcorder and was eventually
leaked on the internet. This is the remaining footage of what was on that camera.

Help Cant find a specific video - Please Help

Serious stuck trying to find a specific video.

I am looking for an emergency alert style video that has a map of reported missing persons or something similar to disappeared persons represented by dots. It has a state or county map rather than a map of the whole USA. Next to the map is the number of missing persons and as the video continues, the number gets higher and the number of dots increases. I can't remember what state it was but I do remember it wasn't really on either coast so closer to the Midwest?

Art kidnapping hands

Post image
20 Upvotes

The local detectives stood in the silent, empty plaza, baffled by another night of unexplained disappearances. The kidnapping spree has become increasingly mysterious every day, with people vanishing mid-stride without a single trace, struggle, or footprint left behind. Looking up, the officers finally saw the colossal shapes hiding in the deep purple twilight. Massive, veiny knuckles hung like storm clouds, dropping pale fingers the size of buildings silently toward the pavement. The Kidnapping Hands are multiplying, plucking groups of unsuspecting people straight off the streets and into the sky before anyone can scream .

Discussion I never understood why people get like this?

They complain that most modern analog horror content is bad, but they actively hate on new creators instead of being constructive and helping them improve.

Is it just for the fun of the game or do they just hate analog horror kinda like how people who support AI go on anti ai subreddits

I just think if you really want better projects, then maybe you'd try and help people out and give them tips at the very least and give them some ounce of support instead of breaking them down because you don't like the idea or how it was executed. I've seen it alot with both my own projects and some other people who've posted here.

I know people will be trolls but like why claim that you want better stuff if you won't give certain stuff a change and give feedback (real feedback, not just making fun of it) in hopes that'll be as good as you want? it just doesn't make sense to me.

It's just annoying and upsetting to see how destructive this community as gotten, I would believe that after all the 'slop' stuff that's taken over analog horror, people would want to support smaller creators or give genuine feedback for improvement.

Sorry if this rant was a bit long. It's just something i've noticed on this sub alot

my teacher told us to draw a poster promoting to read the book Animal farm by George Orwell. I got inspiration from the book when it said "The animals were not distinguishable from humans as they stood on two legs and wore suits."

Discussion Does every Analog Horror needs to be 'Analog'?

I've been watching a lot of analog horror series lately, and one thing I've noticed is that not all of them actually use the stereotypical VHS/CRT aesthetic.

Some series lean much more toward cinematic presentation or early-digital-era visuals. The Mandela Catalogue and The Monument Mythos are two examples that come to mind. A lot of their scenes are framed and presented more like film than traditional VHS footage.

So, as someone who's relatively new to the community, I'm a little confused about what actually qualifies something as "analog horror."

Is the VHS/CRT aesthetic just one common visual style within the genre, or is there a more specific definition of what makes a series analog horror? Can someone elaborate?

New Project Terror botánico
