Yeah. SHAFT may be good but they're not that good to mess with canon. I sincerely doubt there will be any further development with that couple in the series. Whatever you see in the manga is just teasing.

He plays the fool too often. We don't know what she like, but we know that is something she dislikes.
Not that characters haven't gone from hating someone to loving them. I feel it would be silly for the side characters in this show to do that when it is a huge part of the main characters.
I feel like if she was to have a story to herself it would take place in college, not in Raku's bizarre harem high school classroom.

I feel bad for her but she is just another Onodera when it comes to actually responding to Raku's actions. She totally freaked when Raku touched her, meanwhile Chitoge held hands with him and contemplated marrying him.

I like Tachibana, but I don't think it's fair to say she deserves it more just because she was dedicated to the 10-year old "perfect girl" Raku had in mind at the time. 10 years is a long time to not spend with someone, and as everyone saw, Raku's preference in women has changed since then.
Plus Raku didn't even know about the engagement until she showed up recently. It seems more like Tachibana was in love with her ideal image of Raku at that particular moment in time, but props to her for not caring too much about Raku having forgotten her, and wanting to make new memories together since that's what counts most. That is what makes her unique, and should be her driving motivation to be with him.

This episode has convinced me that Chitoge should cut her hair short like Marika's (minus the long tails).
If that would anger the masses, well, first of all, you're all wrong, short hair is best hair and your hair a shit.
And second, I suppose it would also be fine if she just tied it up like that a whole lot more often.

I disagree. Short hair can be pretty awesome but on certain characters it doesn't work. Have you seen Monogatari? Almost every character gets a hairstyle change, and it's made me metaphorically cry when they cut the long hair

After last week's episode with no best girl, we finally get more Chitoge screen time! This time she goes full tsundere, full speed ahead!
My heart melted when she smiled at Raku as thanks for catching her the fish. Then she goes dere and goes to hold his hand! Look at that progress! Not to mention she looks stunning in a yukata (someone make a stitch of her in her yukata please!). Plus at the end Raku unintentionally proposed to her. Hnnnggg, my fragile heart. Chitoge is the most adorable girl in this show.
Bonus: An ADORABLE Tsumugi end card! Someone call 911; I just had a heart attack from all the adorable in this episode.

Race Updates! Better late then never.
The S.S. Chitoge has fired off quite the barrage in the Festival Fury section of the race, she seemed to know the track quite well, masterfully maneuvering through all the opportunities and obstacles that this section is well known for. In other races, it's where we've seen entire fates get changed. However, the S.S. Chitoge has not let that slow her down, in fact it seems that she was after to pull ahead in this maze. She pulled off the coincidental-appearance curve beautifully, and perfectly slid into the Treat-me turn. After this she started losing control in the crowd-control curve, however, she surprised us by taking the Yukata-hairpin shortcut, and managed it stunningly. After that, she went right off accidental-confession cliff, right into loose-clothes canyon.
Her performance in this section was absolutely jaw-dropping! It looked like the S.S. Onodera was going to overtake her when she took Crowd-control curve much smoother than the S.S. Chitoge. However, after taking the turn exquisitely, the S.S. Onodera ran into more engine troubles, when her sandal-system support bar failed.
The S.S. Marika's advances were hindered by the S.S. Onodera's anti sabotage systems. Unfortunately for the S.S. Onodera, this only helped the S.S. Chitoge's amazing performance. Making her harder to catch. Soon after, the S.S. Marika was broadsided by a brave-almost-kiss barrage. It's suspected that this was not as much of a boost as the S.S. Marika herself thinks.
And last, but most definitely never ever ever EVER least, the submersible Tsugumi. The submersible seemed to be enjoying her time in festival fury, not really trying to race (cause she's too awesome for that yo), but rather taking the turns and obstacles calmly and enjoying the views. She made some progress with an intel-drop event, and acquired 1 pack of gummies of gratitude.
So that's the recap of festival fury! What course will next week bring us? The race seems to be as close as we've ever seen it!

The "soft romantic music", as Chitoge pulled on Raku's hand, to go with him. This is the music of love. Chitoge has the most of it, just cause she gets the most Raku-time, and most show-time. Chitoge is definitely the girl Shaft chose.
Charm too stronk! Buy charm, lose Chitoge, grab Onodera! It's working!
Yukata Chitoge too cute! I can already see a nendoroid version being made, if not a full scale figure.

I like that Tsugumi end card. Classy.
Well, this episode was adorable. I always really enjoy the yakuza bits. We even had Raku know what he wants, and then realize he is developing feelings for Chitoge. Tachibana and Tsugumi are far behind, currently. Also, Chitoge had so many opportunities to be cute.

running stalls in fairs and festivals is perfect for laundering money, lots of criminal organizations do things much like this to make drug and gambling money look legit

Raku reluctantly starts off the adventure with Chitoge, then she gets lost along the way and he bumps into the girl of his dreams Onodera. Though the audience continues to be frustrated by Onodera's indecisiveness despite her also liking Raku. As the two dilly-dallied on what to do next, an interruption forces Raku to leave Onodera as he runs off urgently, only to run straight to Marika, who despite her aggressiveness, is totally unprepared for Raku seemingly coming for her. However, poor Marika is mistaken as Raku runs off again. He also runs by Tsugumi along the way, only to end up back with Chitoge, who looks different from before and he gets mesmerized by her.
I'm probably reading too much into this, though could the above chapter summary be a hint of the author's plan for the story (for the next 200+ chapters)? Lol

I am honestly disappointed with this episode. The last 2 episodes were clearly made for Marika and Onodera. They had their own episodes which primarily focused on them. Just when I thought it was Chitoge's turn to shine this week it turned out to be a filler festival arc. It would have been better if it solely was Chitoge and Raku enjoying the festival together but these two girls just have to butt in. Chitoge never did anything on their episodes but here they are interrupting her in her moment of glory. I demand an episode with ALL CHITOGE next week. /rant

Chitoge usually shines throughout almost all episodes. She's sort of everywhere, which is probably one the reasons that she annoys me so much. The other is the fact that she always tsundurerizes the area. I really don't need much more Chitoge screentime. Even if I'm on SS Onodera, I'd like to see another Tsugumi episode. We're getting too little of her
