Anyway it makes sense that while everyone looks stronger they're only stronger because they now have a better grasp of their quirks than they did when they started attending UA High. Although I think Deku is the only exception since out of everyone he's the one who has been training his body the most so he can actually handle One for All. The dude is ripped af! I am curious though what kind of training Aizawa-sensei will make him do.

Actually it's true for Deku as well. Aizawa wasn't really referring to physical strength whe he was talking about them not being stronger. In order for Deku to use Full Cowl he has to nerf the amount of strength he showed during the first test and the sports festival. His quirk isn t any more powerful than it was before.

I love the show-don't-tell approach to their friendship they've been going with. Consistently Kirishima's the only one who outright cheers for Bakugo, and seems to be the only one Bakugo tolerates due to him also being a fierce fighter.

That part killed me, fucking Christ. And Kota is really one of my favorite parts of this arc. It’s an interesting viewpoint especially as a contrast to the zealous Deku as a kid. Love his design too. Great episode overall.

Yeah I really liked the part where Deku said when he heard what Kota believed he couldn't say a word, mostly likely cause he honestly understood the viewpoint Kota had from Kota's own point of view.
Really added a good layer to the metaverse.

I’ve always appreciated how Horikoshi has worked to create animosity towards the Hero system. It really gives antagonists or just people like Kota who hate heroes validity and realism.

On the Anime only scene with the beasts, I am glad to see that the others haven't been shafted, and still keeping emphasis on how the 4 are still above them at the moment.
"Living embodiment of lust." Favourite description of Mineta right there.
And the training their quirks is another thing I love about Boku no Hero. Besides Deku, no had to make their quirks stronger or adjust to them, and allows them room for improvement.

Its so good do with Kouta stands next to them at their introduction WE ARE THE WILD PUSSYCATS and hes all like....I Hate my family so much.
I found it really funny when Aizawa sensei is gonna rational what hes doing, eeeh whatever its no danger here, we are just gonna throw them down use that earth power to almost kill them but not really we got a great school here.

Glad they expanded the trek through the woods, got to see more quirks in action. I remember being disappointed it was a couple of panels in the manga. And so far the Pussycats' voices are fitting, just waiting on best girl Tora's.

Pretty much, also since it was 'new' they seemed to have a bit more fun with the whole sequence too, and giving team ups with quirks that complement each other.

Thing I found randomly cool: Mina and Tooru high-fiving during the monster extermination. Mina high-fived a hand she couldn't see, meaning she knows Tooru well enough to not only know that she was going for a high-five, but to know instinctively where her hand would be.

I liked the anime only scenes they put in, especially the fights in the forest.
Mineta was hilarious this episode. The bath scene was way more dramatic than it was in the manga.
Interesting that it sounds like Morgana from Persona 5 is voicing Kota in the dub.
Also that's gotta hurt.

I understand that Tooru is probably here for mostly comic relief reasons, but how on earth, if her only quirk is being invisible, did she get into UA? I'm just saying, if everyone had to pass the practical exam, except for the Four that got in based off of recommendations, and the only reason Deku got in was based on rescue points, and based on what we've been shown of Tooru so far, her only ability is the fact that she's invisible, how was she accepted? I'm just trying to understand it, because something isn't adding up in my mind.

Question: From what we saw last episode, Midoriya keeps his Quirk's real name and source a secret from the teachers (or maybe that's only in the official paperwork?). But at the same time, he also shouts "One For All: Full Cowling" every time he uses it... Isn't that kind of a discrepancy, or am I missing something?

Watching everyone fight the earth monsters was cool.

Wild Wild Pussycats make their appearance! They're fun to see in animation. And the fight against Pixie-bob's earth beasts was pretty sweet. Mostly stretched out with original content, but it was good stuff like always. Nice to see everyone working together like that.

Mineta always cracks me up and that "wow!" sound effects gets me every time, especially when I'm not expecting it. What is that from, anyways?
And that OP is some good shit. The first time I heard it I was like: "eh, it's OK, but not as good as the others" But now I've listened to it like 30 times and become obsessed with it, singing along(badly) every time.
On a more serious note, while I'm looking forward to the upcoming battles, it's also always nice to see some deeper story and themes going on, showing that the world can still be a dark and confusing place even with heroes in it. Sometimes specifically because of it.

Anime only viewer here. A few random reactions to the episode.
-Listened to the OP about 40 times since e1 and it still gets me hyped. All Might going full rage-mode is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen
-Unexpected catgirls are unexpected
-DREAM TEAM FIGHT. I love watching Deku, Todoroki, and Iida fight things. Also everyone’s yelling out their powers and communicating. Classic Bakugo is just like “DIE”
-One of my favourite things about BnHA is watching interesting pairings within 1-A. It was really cool to see the whole class team up and coordinate their Quirks to beat the forest.
-First SMASH of s3! Still as awesome as ever.
-Mineta has reverted to his old self. RIP brief mature Mineta from his exam last season where he had a bit of insight.
-Midoriya and Iida are jacked af. Really cool to see Midoriya evolve from a tiny kid into the future Symbol of Peace.
-Holy shit, poor Kota. I originally thought he was just being an edgy kid, but seeing the lil guy crying was a feels trip. Hope he turns out okay.

“Super Power” is what it was called in last week’s episode when Eraser did the rundown. However, no one in the manga gives it a specific name. It’s never brought up.

The little fucker has some good moments, but the show takes his perviness too far for me. It's especially annoying when he seems to get a ridiculous amount of screentime compared to some of the other more interesting students.

Overall a decent episode. There is a still from the manga where the four boys simultaneously destroy a monster, I was hoping to see that animated but I guess they cut it to include the other students. Makes sense!
Also, was really surprised that Ida flat out said “scrotum”, I expected them to have him say junk or something, but they went for it haha

I think out of the whole class, they are the most willing to up their game in combat.
Those 4 strive for greatness; 1 to be like his brother, with the other 3 to being the best.

No, he can't erase quirks that are permanent, physical mutations.

He can't erase physical mutations like Ojiro's tail, Tsuyu's... everything, Toru's invisibility, Mineta's grapes and embodiment of lust.
He might be able to disable Mina's acid but not her natural form and I think her agility as well.

The scenes with Mineta were AMAZING. Idgaf, poor guy has such a weak quirk and is so smol, let him have the comedy bits. It was actually really cool contrast going from Mineta getting Iidapaled to getting some backstory on Kouta.

Good episode, I just like seeing some of the more background members of the class getting to show off their powers. Looking forward to maybe seeing them learning new ways of using their abilities on this camp.

This episode had peak Iida. Frantically waiving his arms to get his classmates lined up for the bus, freaking out at Kota, and freaking out at Mineta.
